Dirrell could have wrapped his whole head with bubble wrap and he would still be sleeping. Lol.

Now this is exactly what I'm thinking - with modern tech, isn't there a way to put a synthetic plate over the chin, then mask it wit hair? Or even a covering over the entire jaw area & cover it with a fake beard? Or anything to this effect that is more advanced?

Fighters should be clean shaven always.

Not convinced. Seen Pac get starched by a big shot on the chin, Dirrell starched by a money shot, Seen Lucas stop Peterson and knocked him down several times, seen Canelo put Plant on ***** street. Sorry man, i just dont agree.

Just because boxers with beards get KO'd does not mean there is no softening of impact.

Yeah if you land a money punch it’ll still rattle your senses and knock you out.

I guess some of us will have to agree to disagree.

I think it would make little to no difference. Might prevent some friction.

If you have a good chin, then you have a good chin. And if your chin is weak, growing a beard somehow isnt going to make it stronger. Its as simple as that.

Personally, A beard like Plant's, I don't think it provides much protection.

I think what would be more effective is as I said rubbing a grizzly, Eddie Hearn type beard across a cut.

You laugh, but it's true. Boxers do all sorts of crazy stuff for an advantage. They'll use the lacing on their gloves to try **** someone's vision up. I think I read somewhere once that a boxer didn't brush his teeth or shower or something and basically came to the ring with extremely foul breath and body odor to distract his opponent.
