Hatton was winning the fight, but very ring rusty, and tiring. He gets caught by a peach of a body shot in the soft rib,and fails to beat the count, how is that a "beatdown" ?
got a bit of a problem with people mocking fighters that cry to be honest, completely understand how it happens with the adrenaline, release of pressure etc. especially considering what they have just put themselves through, something i'm sure the vast majority of us have no real experience of... so lay off unless you've done it yourself
I don't have a problem with that and I'm not sure why you would think otherwise, but I fail to see the relevance. This thread is about beatdowns that led to crying in the ring: Better luck next time.
I remember Veerapol Sahaprom cried inconsolably after his loss to Vusi Malinga. That was a really sad sight. I remember it was oddly touching seeing Floyd and Vargas both broke down and cried after winning their first titles. Hell, even SRR cried after regaining his title against Bobo Olson.
I consider crying during an interview after the fight when discussing it different than pouting on the ground or sobbing against the ropes before the knockout is even announced. I remember Emanuel talking about crying in the locker room post-Brewster, but don't recall the Purrity post-fight interview. I have no problem giving you the benefit of the doubt on that one, though. I invite you to show me where in this thread I implied that I think crying in the ring is even a bad thing, though. I merely stated the fact that there's a brand new entry in this collection of ring-crying.
Corrales was devastated after the Mayweather loss and seemed to be tearing up. Even though at the time I was appalled by Chico's outside-the-ring charges, I couldn't help but feel bad for him because he seemed so devastated.
Yeah it wasnt a beat down. It was a nervous breakdown. Mccall's brain wasnt workin' why? Because Lewis chose to fight Mccall only when he knew Mccall was heavily into drugs. That's Lennox the cherry picker! This content is protected
Not to act like a nuthugger but many of Wladimir's opponent cried.. I remember David Bostice bawled.. Acelino Freitas after every fight.
