Ok I'm bored and may of asked this before but what the hell Has anyone any knowledge of a or any books about Beau Jack I expect no answers
Br B, Beau Jack was the most action packed fighter I ever saw, bar none. Beau was so exciting a fighter, he SOLD out the old Madison Square Garden SEVEN TIMES in ONE YEAR. Simply Amazing. Too darn bad for today's boxing fans that there is no film of Beau in his prime, just one film of him past his peak, when Beau was almost beheaded by Ike Williams in Philly in 1948, a fight I saw ringside...All ACTION, Mr Beau Jack... P.S. There is a good chance that a terrific boxing writer is working on a biography of Sidney Walker...Beau deserves that...
I've been researching Beau Jack for the past 1 1/2 - 2 years with the intention of producing a biography concerning his life and career. I've got a lot more research to do and it will take some time to write but I'm presently planning on devoting even more energy to this now that the Tony Zale book is finished.
Beau Jack was shinning shoes in the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami when I was a kid. I brought down all my fathers shoes and gave him a good tip. He made a lot of money because everyone felt bad but I felt so bad for him as a kid. I looked up to the little tough guy
