I saw young Beau Jack many times in prime,a dynamo, against the non-stop punching Aaron Pryor, even weights...And the winner is......?

The trouble with Pryor is that he was a wild headhunter with a wide open chin. Even if he was completely impervious, I think he was always susceptible to being outscored over the distance. I see Jack getting under him, hooking to the body and head, and coming over the top with those rights from down low.

When it came to aggression, Jack was no shrinking violet. The difference here would be effective aggression. On that basis, my guess is that he takes the decision over Pryor.

I do think that Pryor is in with a shout of simply winning the fight though, albeit a close and likely gruelling one. Duodenum's post is good and a logical one though.

Leaning towards Pryor, but comes down to a decision either way.

Close one, but Jack edges it over Pryor.

Beau Jack was a tank of a 135 lber and looked to have solid technique also. It's a shame there isn't much of him on film.

I think he's the more proven fighter and fought against many more top class fighters than Pryor did. Pryor is a tough match-up for nearly everybody though.

Many boxers are called warriors today but Beau Jack is one that certainly was:

I saw the prime Beau Jack many many times. He was the best attraction in MSG in his time...Saw him against the underated Bob Montgomery, fighting for a WAR BOND rally..A shame that folks of today never saw the young dynamo called Beau Jack..Of course his nemesis was Ike Williams , but Beau beat Henry Armstrong [past Henry's peak] in 1943.Beau Jack beats Aaron Pryor at 135pounds in a nasty shootout IMO...
