Because Danny Garcia is fighting Thurman next year does not excuse him from turning down Pacquiao

Let's think about it. How much is he getting from fighting Thurman? Maybe $2-$2.5 million?
vs the $4 million offered from Team Pacquiao. Unless the Thurman fight is going to determine who fights Mayweather for #50 ,there was no reason to turn down such a high profile fight unless Arum was just lying like he always does, name outside fighters just to have and in-house fight.

That would have been "daring to be ****ing great". Fighting a high profile legend and then mopping up another solid champion in a unification bout. That is smart business. Not fighting fringe contenders for non title bouts in case you get the "HERRERA" treatment and lose your title. I hope Samuel Vargas gives him the pizza face with extra sauce.

Just to put this in perspective, imagine Mayweather offering Golovkin a fight right now and him turning it down to fight Ishe Smith and then Canelo next year(maybe). People would break the keyboard clowning GGG, with me on the front lines.

Greedy Bob has a reputation for not being the most truthful person, so I don't know how genuine or how close the offer was to 4 million. It could be total bull****.

So he should fight an old, shot, tiny, blown up fly weight over a prime natural WW? Maybe he want to dare to be great and not just fight for money...

I don't see the similarities, but I think GGG should have fought Ward when he had the chance.. He wasting his time trying to fight a guy don't really need him.. GGG looking for a nice payout that's about it...

An old, shot, tiny, blown up flyweight who's coming off of a dominant win over a top WW. And I think what Willie meant was him fighting Pacquaio instead of that Vargas guy in november and then taking the Thurman fight next year.

    He also turned down Brook.

If he turned Brook and Pacquiao down because he was fighting Thurman, then fine. But the Brook fight was offered for Sept/ Oct and the Pacquiao fight for Nov. He could still fight Thurman in April or March or whenever.

The reason why I said that is because that's what his 'fans' would call/ have called him when he lose.. Either that or his opponent was on every PED imaginable.. I was hearing 2 years ago how ancient Pac's ring age is...

Then I hear how guys like Floyd always cherry picked old past prime guys when there's others 'available'.. Then with Danny it's fight the old past prime guy and hold off of the prime king of the division.. Then the 'Dare to be Great' debates keep popping up, so I decided to clump it all up on one short post...lol

And how does everyone know this? I didn't even say anything about anyone at 168 and under, I said Ward, which you conveniently left out because he's daring to be great and moved up to fight a great fighter.. GGG still waiting on JMW and WW to move up to MW...lol

Because he has a real shot against Thurman and his glass ribs. He has almost no shot against a shot Pacquiao. Styles. Pacquiao would box Cherry's ears off and possibly stop him.
