Common sense indeed says there is something weird about him playing Golf, only two weeks after the injury.

That is why I asked my father about it, during the holidays and I was surprised to find out, that he think it is doable. He even explained me why he thinks it would be possible in medical terms but I didn’t really catch the idea. Plus I would not be good enough in English to explain it right anyway.

He even said it’s pretty common to athletes, play golf while recovering from injuries.
It is good way to keep active, without stressing your body too much. I would imagine that athletes could become bored, if they could not do any sports in months

but recovery can only begin once you're past the first stage of the injury when its inflamed, inflammation itself takes a few weeks to cool down.

I have never had two inch abc tear, so I would not know. But if it would be impossible I would imagine my father would have said so. After all he did treat professional Ice hockey teams injuries for couple of years

I can tell you all about about knee ligament injury tought.

i just emailed my orthopedic surgeon about it lets see what he got to say.

what happens when you leave a mcl or medial meniscus injury untreated? its been over 2 years and i feel normal now but occasionally i feel some irritation, ask your pops is it possible to heal on its own.

I imagine he will say the same thing, if you don’t write his answer by yourself.

Hmm... I really cant tell that kind of info about knee injuries more like how long it taked to rehab and get back to goal keeping and did it hurt like hell when my knee ligament teared.

 You think Im going to call my dad and ask advise for some guy I met in a boxing forum?

Tomorrow when I see him in the work, I could ask about it, for just of a heck of it tought.

BTW Wouldn’t it be more convenient to you to ask that from your personal orthopedic surgeon who you emailed question about Wladimirs abs injury. Also why didn’t you contact him when you had your mcl injury?

We all know golf isn't hugely physically demanding but a golf swing, regardless of whether it's 100% effort or 50%, is still tough on the body. The only reason "fat old men" can play, is because there are long periods between each shot but there's still a risk of injury when each shot is played.

    Abdominal Strain Injury Explained
Abdominal pain may be due to a Stomach muscle strain sustained during sport. Alternatively it is not uncommon to sustain an Abdominal strain during stomach exercises.

A muscle strain refers to a tear within the muscle. Usually the muscle is forcibly stretched beyond its limits and the muscle tissue becomes torn. Depending upon its severity it is classified as a first, second or third degree strain:

a first degree strain is damage to a few muscle fibres
a second degree strain is damage to a more extensive number of muscle fibres
a third degree strain is a complete rupture of the muscle itself

The Abdominal muscle group comprises the Rectus Abdominus, Internal Obliques and External Obliques. Of these, the Rectus Abdominus is most prominent, and can be seen in some individuals as a 'six pack'. The function of the Rectus Abdominus muscle is to flex the spine, as demonstrated during a sit up. The Internal Obliques and External Obliques work together to produce twisting movements of the trunk. These muscles can be damaged during a sudden contraction, such as when twisting in an uncoordinated manner.

    Abdominal Strain Signs & Symptoms
With a grade one Abdominal muscle strain the signs of injury may not be present until after the activity is over. There may be a sensation of cramp or tightness and a slight feeling of pain when the muscles are stretched or contracted.

With a grade two Abdominal muscle strain there is immediate pain which is more severe than the pain of a grade one injury. It is confirmed by pain on stretch and contraction of the muscle. A grade two Abdominal strain is usually sore to touch.

With a grade three Abdominal strain there is an immediate burning or stabbing pain and the athlete is unable to move without pain. The muscle is completely torn and there may be a bulge of soft tissue through the muscle layer - this is known as a hernia. In the case of grade two and three injuries, a bruise may appear after a few days below the injury, caused by bleeding within the tissues.

    Abdominal Strain Treatment
    What you can do
    Consult a sports injury expert
Apply ice packs to relieve pain and reduce bleeding
The immediate treatment for any muscle injury consists of rest, ice and compression. Ice Packs can be applied for periods of twenty minutes every couple of hours (never apply ice directly to the skin as it can cause an ice burn). The Ice Packs relieve pain and reduce bleeding in the damaged tissue.

Resting may be the common sense approach, but it is one that is often ignored by competitive athletes. This is unwise, since it does not take much to turn a grade one strain into a grade two, or a grade two strain into a grade three. As a general rule, grade one injuries should be rested from sporting activity for about 3 weeks and grade two injuries for about 4 to 6 weeks. In the case of a complete rupture, the muscle may have to be repaired surgically and the rehabilitation afterwards will take about 3 months.

I imagine he would still know plenty about knee injuries.

Being specialized in one area doesn’t mean, they are absolutely clueless about other areas of medicine.

Clearly the injury is fake, but I can't believe Super Wlad would ever have to duck Chisora. Here is a list of more likely reasons for the BS injury and pull-out:

    - Wald knew he had a round of golf to play 2 weeks later and wanted to stay fresh.
    - Wlad thought he might have left the oven on back in cali and had to cancel training camp to go switch it off.
    - Wlad realised Chisora is a fat twat and decided not to let him have the career high payday he never deserved after all.
    - Wlad remembered he had a colonoscopy booked the same night and decided that would provide a more entertaining spectacle for his fans.

All this talk of wether it possible or not is kind of irrelevant.

The fact is a professional athlete (that doesn't earn his living playing golf) wouldn't dream of playing golf with such an injury even if it was possible. The chance of aggrivating the injury or making it worse far outweighs the benefit of a round of ****ing golf, never mind the pain factor. His management would NEVER allow it if the injury was real.

I would say that if the injury were fake, his management would never allow him to play golf and have a TV film crew, newspaper reporter, and photographer follow along.
