Based on your "knowledge" I'm guessing you think Canelo would have struggled with Porter.

 

doesnt really matter who we think they beat or not it's sparring and both looked well up for it.
What about the shot that Smith caught Brook with walking back where his coach says "not in straight lines"Smith looked the bigger man to my eye?

 

I can see your point if we take things at face value but there's more here than meets the eye ffs.

Those fight results had a lot to do with timing. Canelo was barely 20 where Brook was more mature and closing on his prime.

Don't forget that Canelo was almost knocked down by Cotto's brother around that time. How do you think that fight had gone if it had taken place a couple of years later?

 

At the same time Brook wasn't taking the sport seriously, partying all the time and nutrition for fights was beans on toast everyday and nearly got stopped by Carson Jones.

Since then he's been working with the top sports scientist in the UK at Sheffield Hallam University and has a strength and conditioning and a nutritionist on board of which work with the Team GB athletes, and is much more dedicated to the game

So I don't think the fights would've gone that much differently, look who N'dou foght, nobody stopped him yet Brook came a lot closer than anybody else.
