Hi guys. Right i currently work full time as a support worker in private hospitals. The shifts i work are 8am - 8.30pm. Sometimes ill finish that shift and go straight onto a nightshift working the same hours 12.5 hours. I also have 2 children which i have overnight every other weekend and have them once in the week. I aim to try to get to the boxing gym once a week but i train in another gym i have a membership with if i cant make the boxing club. My record is 8 wins and 2 losses. The last time i boxed was october 2013 but recently been training in a new gym. Now they have offered me to fight in there show on may 9th. Do you guys think i should take the fight giving the amount of time i work and spend with my children? I love the sport of boxing so much and would love to fight again but looking for all your advice because i really dont know what to do. Thanks guys

What level/type of boxing is this? I struggle to understand how someone can win boxing fights when they train once a week.

As an amateur, this is pretty regular honestly.

I say give it a shot if you feel your sharp in sparring and good conditioned.

It really comes down to yourself and your trainer being able to assess if your ready! If you doubt yourself, don't jump in! boxing is not for the feint hearted! :)

So you sometimes work 24 hour shifts?

If you can train an hour a week and win matches then go for it.
