actually makes me think how much of a chavez fan you are when you couldnt logically see the similarity between this fight and JCC even if you did somehow read sonnen

Neither Sonnen nor Silva resembled Chavez in the slightest in that fight. :nut

silva did some pretty good defence on his back & with his elbows, he might have been loosing on points but was in no way getting koed from sonnens attacks

I don't know. I think maybe you have voodoo powers. Either that, or I don't want to admit I ****ed up. I'll stick with the voodoo angle I think.

I have seen it, many times. But I don't view them as similar.

Over the last third of the fight, Chavez systematically broke Taylor down, brutalizing him on the inside, and eventually bludgeoning him into a bloody mess. Taylor was never the same fighter again due to the punishment he took that night.

By contrast, Sonnen was cruising towards the finish line when a very quick piece of skill completely caught him off guard and derailed his path to victory. I would compare this to something like Herol Graham vs Julian Jackson or Jorge Fernando Castro vs John David Jackson before I'd compare it to Chavez-Taylor, where one guy was comfortably ahead then got caught out of the blue and the whole fight turned on its head.

incomparabale to jackson graham as it was in the 4th of a scheduled 12, anything could of happened inthe last 8 rounds, castro and jackson meh not exactly comfortable on the cards with 4 rounds to go, chavez and silva were both in last chance saloon silva was attempting his sub knowing this was probably going to be his last chance to finish the fight and chavez was in exact same position he also needed that fight finished and both done it with MOMENTS to go, moments being the compared attribute :good, i tend not to delve too far into the comparison like yourself as they are 2 completely different sports

Fair enough man, see your point. :good

For what it's worth, I have the same admiration for what Chavez achieved and what Silva achieved. Both showed the true heart and skill and steel of champions on those nights.
