Been thinking: I'll bet there is already a handshake on Fury-Klitschko 2...

    ...should Fury beat JoshuaX2.

On one hand, you have Briggs saying a Klitschko comeback is imminent. We have heard Klit talk about breaking Foreman's record, and alluding to as much.

On the other hand, you have Fury saying that he doesn't want Whyte or Usyk becayse they stand in the way of big money fights. Well, what would those fights be, then? Parker? Ruiz? Real Tyson? His cousin? The only one I could think of is Wladdy.

This is unfinished business, and I believe that it is possible that they have already been talking.

    What do y'all think?

    No. It's not.

First of all, you're immediately basing this pre-arrangement on the basis that Fury beats Joshua twice, which despite what people might believe is no given.

Second; you're putting an awful lot of trust in the word of Shannon Briggs...

I don't know if you noticed, but Mike Tyson was talking about a comeback a couple months ago... boxers mention it all the time. Wlad is in his mid-40s, we won't be seeing him in a pro ring again.

Dillian Whyte in the UK would be a bigger fight than Wlad. In fact, the wilder trilogy in the US would be, as well. Fury has options, Wlad isn't one of them. Not to mention Usyk, who's very popular almost anyway he goes.

You say they have unfinished business? Last time I checked, Fury damn near shut Wlad out.

This ain't happening. You're pitching pointless conspiracies here mate, so yeah. Take of the tinfoil hat. :sisi1

Been a while since I dismantled a thread.

Wlad is 44, so age not on his side, he would not likely be parachuted into a title fight so need to prove self against decent opponent(s) first plus Fury has fights lined up anyway.

Wlad retired healthy, wealthy and wise, a comeback would not enhance his legacy, he was dominant titleholder for extended period so legacy sorted, he does not need the money, and his wise head would not realistically allow him to comeback. He isn't some punch drunk, craver of the limelight sort of guy, he is a phD, with business, philanthropic and education endeavours to keep himself busy.

Tyson, Holyfield and now Wlad supposed to be considering forms of comebacks, if any of the trio realistically is considering competitive return i for one say please stop, you were greats of your day, aging erodes that in the ring greatness, stay the less painful side of the ropes.

By the time both AJ fights and a mandatory are out of the way, Vlad will be like 47
No idea how you've come to this conclusion
Its just not going to happen

I think the initial mistake here was listening to Shannon Briggs

If there's no drugs testing at all then Wladimir could comeback and be successful against lower tier competition. The top guys would all chin him though.

Sure, I think there's a chance he comes back to try to break the age record. It's the kind of thing he'd want to do as it would give him a ton of attention for the next #WaldoLifeGoal #AgeIsJustNumber narrative and so on. He'd get to post more Instagram shots with his top off and promise to give the prize money to Joshua's poor Nigerian people instead of Ukrainian orphans. And there's only so many steamy sauna sessions you can have with your male cooks and massage therapists before you want to come out of retirement and give it one last shot.

It would make sense if he comes back he waits and just goes for one fight to get the age record instead of fighting in the mean time. Because Wlad knows he can still bomb anyone out if he lands throughout his 40s, but can likely lose to many people now too. So he's probably willing to risk it, roll the dice for one last night. There won't be any pressure on him and he can just go and have a swing. But I'm not certain he'd go after Fury at that stage, maybe try to get a shot at a shorter shitter fighter who ends up with a belt when someone vacates.

I'd have to agree with everything you've said besides Whyte fury being a bigger fight than wlad fury. No one outside of the UK is interested in watching Whyte fight for a title. Maybe they were 3 years ago but not now

If Fury did beat a forty seven year old Wlad it would be the third best win of his career though.
