you know hes faced some pretty good comp ,some of the best ww in the world ,cotto ,marg, judda(sorta kinda) hes been pretty competative in there you could argue he won some of his losses , But watching his tape i feel there is a 15% chance of him beating pac , I cant really find his advantages against pac ,speed no, footwork no,power mmmm na, size yes that is his only real advantage , but is it enough to impose his will ,
prob not , ne ways i would love to see a great fight ,

    How Can Cottey Win?

    timing... yes
    chin... yes
    defense... yes
    strength... yes
handspeed... no, but he isn't at as big of a disadvantage as people would have you believe.

Good that you actually watched tape, instead of just forming your opinion based on ESB common knowledge.

Clottey has an advantage over Pac in "timing"? How did you determine that?

  5. I wonder how this ****head came up with 15% with all of his analyzing.

Pac is not a timer. Clottey has excellent timing, and he will use it against Pac.

Clottey was timing / countering Cotto at will. And let's not even begin to talk about Clottey's uppercut. That **** is vicious. He had Cotto looking like a bobble head the way his uppercuts were rocking Cotto's head up and down. Sorry, but I'm still a firm believer that Clottey softened up Cotto for Pac. Cotto was ripe for the pickings. Pac is going to be a sitting duck for Clottey's uppercut. Clottey will not make the same mistake of letting his foot off the gas. He will finish the job this time around. You can believe that!

    NBA,

Can't wait 'til March 13th brotha! When we get to celebrate the ass whooping Clottey laid on Pac and the nation of PEDtards.

Jacory and NBA - You have to admit you're a little nervous about the cutman/locksmith trainer. I am but still holding out hope that Clottey will have a solid game plan in place.

I think he needs the right strategy, he needs to press Pac and back him up. dont look for the knockout but look for a UD by winning round after round. JMM was the last guy to make Pac fight backing up and he isnt that good at it. Clottey can keep a tight defense and high work rate and use the jab to back up Pac.

I just hope Clottey doesnt go looking for the knockout, I dont think he will because he isnt that type of fighter. But I dont think he will be active enough and he is too stationary and will let Pac move where he wants to and that is no good. If he sits and waits and tries to counter pac he will loose cause pac is too fast and he wont throw enough. He needs to back pac up, but use effective aggression, looking to hit and not be hit, not backing him up cause he is looking for a KO and throwing wildly.

Whoa cowboy... no need for the insults...

Pac relies more on pure handspeed. Clottey doesn;t quite have the handspeed that pac has, but he is excellent at timing his opponents when they are on the offensive. This talk of him turtling up and waiting is just nonsense. Look at the Cotto fight carefully.

Clottey could be training with a blow up doll and it still won't change the outcome.

He is in seclusion right now, going to hell and back. Very similiar to how Hagler would train himself and stay out of the limelight while training. March 13th, Clottey will be ready for WAR!

Yeah, he gave away the win to Cotto by going into his shell.

Cotto is a precise puncher with excellent timing, but was unable to really go punch for punch with Pacquiao. Pacquiao himself has great timing, it was timing that inevitably had Hatton stretched out and Marquez down for the count in their second bout, not speed.
