Been watching Lewis fights, and man-o-man!

Lewis had all the tools and was great HW.

Fights, I wish upon a star that I could see, would be:

Louis vs Lewis

Ali vs Lewis

Johnson vs Lewis

Prime Foreman vs Lewis

Holmes vs Lewis

 

It depends what Foreman your comparing him to, Foreman was like 6'3 and a half 220-260 depending which Foreman were talking about. Lewis was like 6'5 230-250, depending on what Lewis you want to compare. Theres not much difference in weight or height.

 

His chin was alot better than some people think, as this clip shows.

Prime Tyson would have molested Lewis and I think Lewis is top 10 ATG Heavies..

but one fight sticks to me...(Lewis only fought 2 great fighters)...A shot Tyson and a past prime Holyfield.

He had a hell of a time with a well past prime Holyfield. Meaning a Prime Holyfield beats him.

Anyone who analyzes Lewis career only look at this fact because it says it all

 

What, like he "murdered" Buster Douglas? Tyson in his early years beat up on a whole load of very average fighters.
He was very good, don't get me wrong, but he would have struggled against Lewis.

 

I was just thinking of that clip. Lewis had an underrated chin. His legacy is tarnished (to some) by some less than stellar wins but he was a remarkable heavyweight in his prime. he would give ANY in the all time top 10 a hell of a fight and beat quite a few.

oh i like the comment about joe louis. THAT is an all time great with a shitty chin.

 

We are talking prime for prime and lewis was 15-20 pounds bigger through out his prime, the only reason foreman was 260 was becuase he was old and fat, if lewis came back now he would weigh 280 plus.

 

When was holffields prime then :huh

Lewis said during Tyson's SportCentury that he wanted no part of him as a youngster because Tyson was like an animal.

 

Way before Lewis..

I am expecting an differnet point of argument because Holyfield being past prime against Lewis cannot be argued...Thats is why it is the point of reference for determining Lewis greatness...

The only great fighter hes ever fought not Shot...he had a problem with...And Holyfields is pretty orthodox.. .. so its not a style problem.

Holyfield was also small...so this takes out the equation that Lewis is bigger therefore he wins

I say Lewis is top 10 in my book..but you have to be level headed...

 

Funny becuase i have seen videos of them and it what you have heard is only half the story. They is what he was thinking after the first round they had but then he came out and got the better of him by out boxing him.
