those stats were great but should be placed in perspective.... extra weightclasses and especially 4 world titles per weight, makes it much easier to become world champion in 8 division now, then it was to be 3 time worldchampion in the 50's...

almost all his world titles are suspect... he has a total of 5!!! Title defenses, he has never had more then 1 title per weight..

his 112, 120 and 130 titles are the only ones that have some meaning... his 147 title is arguable credible... his 135 and 154 don't mean nothing... and where did you get the other 2 titles from?

oh i see.. 126 and 140 as far as i know.. he never won a title at 126, he drew against marquez for the title.. and 140? are we going to count the IBO title too???!!??

Obviously, this is pretty much the most subjective and debatable subject in all sports.

People must understand the value that must be placed on fighters from beginning of the sport-1960's, as the sport of boxing was the #1 or #2 sport in the world. Nowadays, it is somewhere between hockey and horse-racing, so I cannot see the possibility of fighters of today stacking up to fighters of yesteryear. The relevance factor just does not stack up.

How come you don't have Jimmy McLarnin on your list? Hasn't he defeated like 12 HOFer's?

One thing that helped Pacquiao ge those titles is the fact that he was allowed to start his career at 16 and when he wasn't matured

well 8 world championship in 8 different divisions, 1st in the history of boxing.....bring somebody in to match that.

fighter of the decade and fighter of the year for 3 consecutive years (will be).....and tell those 1000 reporters who voted for it to shutup because you dont agree with them. at least they are somebody and youre nobody.

just a suggestion, just shut the **** up!
