BEFORE Cotto/Geale happens: Do you think Geale and Trout are similar levels?

    Just to be clear: I'm not triangle-theorying the three exactly because of the different stances. It's just that for guys Cotto has fought since moving up, I feel like there's so little to go on and what we have might be really misleading. Trout is probably the closest thing to a healthy middleweight-sized framed fighter he's fought in a long time. With Cotto it's like everything is a misleading avenue when judging him against these larger guys except for maybe Trout and probably Geale. Just curious about the levels everyone thinks they're at. I think they're actually similar enough. Slight edge to Trout but same league.

    Trout is an echelon above Geale. Trout is a very good fighter, too bad he never got a fair shot at Canelo, was much much closer than the scorecards indicated.

    I think was a motivation issue other than other things that manage Cotto to look like trash in that fight He just didn't even tried a few times, never see him like that even in the Pac beatdown He was trying. He looked lees motivated than in His fight with Clottey. Is very well known Cotto lack of motivation sometimes.

    What the hell title's did Geale unify at MW I know he held a WBA Title before I think but fill me in on this one?

    Trout got dropped in 3 consecutive fights, i think he will have some serious trouble with the top dogs at MW.
    However i do hope that he moves up. Not much going on in his division.

    WBA and IBF

    Geale is a lot better than Trout, but different style so its not really a good comparison to make.

    All Trout ever did was beat Cotto, who has not beat any non-cripples via non-injury north of 147.

    Lol GTOFH IBF that isn't a "Real" Title. So basically he's won a WBA Belt before OK, I knew that.

    OK Didn't know that, Geale is GGG's best opponent by a mile. Let's see how Cotto does.

    Its considered a "real" title by most media/etc *shrug*, one of the "big four"

    Personally I do not put huge stock in it either, but he was still considered a Unified Champ , also according to WBA rules which recognizes IBF unifications (and elevates to Super/Unified WBA status) :conf

    You know what my bad, I don't know how I misread that. IBF I cosign that as well I kind of thought you were talking about that IBU bullsh!t that was on the line in GGG-Geale.
