HBO won't write Floyd another eight figure check unless he's fighting Cotto or Mosley. Therefore, no tune up. And why exaxctly does he "deserve" one? He fought twice this year and wasted a month dancing. That was his tune up right there.

To call any of the top 10 WW a tune up for anyone is an insult to all of them!

Most of us like Floyd just as much as the next guy - but I doubt if Floyd would view Margarito as a tune-up - since he trains for every fight as a championship fight.

Mayweather isn't going to fight no more than probably 1 or 3 more fights why waste one on a tune up? let him built his legacy even more n fight top contenders!

 

I think Mayorga would be a good tune-up fight. It would be fun to watch, and they could put this on FREE t.v., and have tons of casual/non-boxing fans tune in to see a complete beat-down. It would create more interest in a future PPV against Cotto, so it would be a win-win for both fighters and fans alike.
