If AA beats Froch, Ward beats Dirrell and Kessler beats Green, all of the Euro-fighters will be in the semis.

 

The OP is right to an extent though. Going into this tournament the Euros were favored to school the inexperienced Americans. It hasn't quite worked out that way. Though there are more fights to come.

 

You´re right. Sauerland underestimated Dirrell and Ward for sure. That said, now Ward and Dirrell have to proof, that they are better than the more expirienced Euro-fighters, because now everybody knows about their skills and weaknesses.

This is true but we all know that Froch didnt beat Dirrell, and it very unlikely that any of them will beat Ward. And its pretty clear by now that Ward and Dirrell are the best two fighters of the six.

As far as the thread starter, yes it was a thing set up for Kessler and AA, and they thought by putting in Taylor who was clearly shot, Dirrell and Ward who didnt have as many fights together as Kessler had by himself that it was making a path to show how European fighters were dominate at supermiddle.

 

Sauerland certainly underestimated Oakland home cooking and Dirrell's acting abilities.

There's no doubt about it.
Except from people who already hated Froch.
And who also forget that you are allowed to score punches that land in clinches.

 

well i remember Kessler was favorite,before the start but Ward was also mentioned to be a favorite to win the S6.And nobody expected Taylor to be exposed that way,i think the only fighter that was a little bit "unknown" was Dirrell.
So to say that it was ment to be a parade for euro fighters is ridiculuos IMO

 

Dirrell was KO'ed against Abraham, outclassed by Froch, and Ward had to cheat in order to get a narrow decision in his hometown.

If anything, the SuperSix proves the injustice that a tough European fighter must face in order to overcome the oppressive, biased, and adverse American-dominated world of boxing.
