Before the Mosley fight Mayweather said drug testing cut off would be non negotiable

well..here's something to consider..

Floyd said he opened up and fought differently against Mosley to give the fans a more exciting fight.He can easily just reneg on the cut off date and say for the sake of the fans.

This leads up to him being seen in a different light and kinda elevates his popularity so he can retire again on top and a fan favorite with a new nice guy persona to go out with.He'll be seen as a master self promoter moreso than he already is.

 

The testing to begin with was all about Floyd getting leverage. I don't buy for one second that he really believes Manny is on something. With the money on the line and with Floyd's PPV numbers that I believe he was banking on would give him more leverage in the 2nd round of negotiations with Manny.

So the drug testing won't be the hold up...he'll agree to the 14 days but will request the 60/40 split. I think that's the stance he'll take and that will be the nail in the coffin if Floyd and Manny won't come to compromise.

 

I actually believe floyd believes he on something.

I don't fault you for that.....no one really knows what floyd thinks. I'm basing my conclusion on what I have seen over the course of this situation. I agree with you that the olympic testing looks good for boxing but NO ONE believes that Floyd only asked for them b/c he was looking out for the betterment of the sport.....it obviously came b/c of Manny. And exactly WHY floyd wanted Manny to be subjected to the tests are still in question. Was it b/c he really thinks Manny is doping, was it b/c he was looking for a way out of the fight, or was it a way to delay the fight and build the anticipation which creates more $$? :think

 

well we know what floyd has said..i mean how many times has floyd said "if you not anything than take the tests"..basically sayiing "i believe your on something and if your not than take em"

what evidence do you have to point yourself in the direction that floyd is doing it to get leverage..your right nobody knows what floyd is thinking..but he said himself what he is thinking and than somehow fans (mostly pacquiao fans) why he wanted manny to take them..u just interperet that to mean something else..

Floyd has said A LOT! Which is why most don't really buy why he is demanding tests on Manny. They don't really beleive that he's doing it to better boxing b/c of things he's said and they don't really believe he is afraid of Manny b/c of the things he's said.

So people in general are questioning "WHY" he demanded the tests b/c demanding olympic testing is kind of saying he's concerned about manny. That really doesn't match the things he's said before.

Taking those tests won't change Floyd's mind that PAC is on or NOT on something if that is what he truly believes. The tests as a whole are easily beaten if you have the resources available which both Manny and Floyd do....but it doesn't mean either one are dirty.

Evidence??? these days evidence is not necessary to spread a rumor and try to pass it off as true. Not that I'm trying to say that "I KNOW I'm 100% Right".....I'm just saying based on what I've heard, seen and know, that Floyd motives are highly questionable.

I'm sure Floyd really does want to beat Manny....but I'm not so sure that he's willing to take the risk even if the money is massive. If he REALLY wanted to fight and whip his ass Floyd would have already done that. But instead we got accusations and new demands for Olympic style testing.

If Floyd stayed consistant and predictable like he has been for the past 40 fights he's had as a pro then I wouldn't have to decipher what he means or what his intentions are when talking about facing manny.

You have little to back up what you are saying all the same. I'm not twisting his words I'm just questioning his intentions based on actions that contradict his words......at least when dealing with PAC.
