man at least mayweather can call and let his fans know why he is not able to fight, he is only allowing people to call him a coward because he does not say anything. I respect all boxers and their skill mayweather perhaps has one of the best right now, but years of him not being able to keep his mouth shut and talk allot of bs has came back to fire him. The respectable thing to do would be to address the situation , people will probably still call him coward but real boxing fans can understand if he does not want to fight due to his rogers case
This is the same **** storm that hit manny over the steroid accusations, only instead of back peddling, mayweather and camp kept going with it. Arum is smarter in mayweather in that sense, he accused may of being a coward and realized if he didn't back off, the fight would die. Boxing fans are the worst people at jumping the gun and passing judgement. I said the day the steroid accusations and drug testing came up "Everyone calm the **** down, there is no evidence pac is on roids... wait for some actual evidence before you convict him" That same day like 50 people had an avatar of manny as a body builder or a cheater. It's STILL going on now, and mayweather will STILL be the biggest coward ever in a few months. Even if he does fight pacquiao now, you realize how many people are going to say it's because he was called a coward in every media outlet in the world? That's why you don't make stupid accusations about people based off of anecdotal evidence.
I can understand people saying that though. Mayweather has prided himself on his reputation for such a long time and it's being torn apart by anyone whose boxing knowledge starts and ends with Ali. Non-fans know of this. It's destroying the credibility he's built up over his entire career. If he could shut them all up, I think he would before the deadline ended. Floyd has already lost his P4P status Floyd has been criticized for ducking in the past I really wanted Floyd to take this fight and think Manny would crush but so many boxing heads think the opposite so I really wanted to see this one and either way I would accept the winner as the best in my lifetime. Floyd let me down and boxing by not accepting or making a statement. Need to move on and enjoy whoever Manny fights next. He is just amazing to watch and we may never see anyone like him ever again. I am happy with whatever happens.
