I was impresed with Hopkins, he landed the clean shots, Calzaghe did'nt land anything. I scored it as a draw.

I only woke up when 4th started, but the rounds I saw from then on(9) - 8 were all in favor of JC - the stupid point deduction were the only round where it was even.

I had it 115-113 for JC but Bhop made the bigger impression on me with the cleaner looking punches. The tight rounds i had to give to JC purely on effort as Bhop fought his usual fight.

Still a good win against a very smart fighter.

But tbh.........not a good spectacle, but then again, when do we see Bhop in an exciting fight!
Classic gaff by the loser tho........'i took him to school for half the fight'.....
Thats why he prob feels robbed as he doesnt Score punches that dont hurt!

Didnt call out for a re-match either did he, unless that comes at the ost fight conference.

114-113 Calzaghe right? I had the same barring round 2 (maybe 3) being even (so 115-113)

What are you talking about? It was a hard fight to score.I saw alot a ineffective agression on Joe's part.Don't get blinded by all of the flurries that were not having much of an impact

Its going to be some wild cards being thrown around

114-113 Calzaghe, tough fight to score, I have no problem seeing Calzaghe win it by a wider margin.

You have a point, I don't score even rounds though, given that these boys never do, so I give it my best punt.

Under these circumstances, I don't see where I could have scored differently.

Without doing a scorecard, a very close fight. I thought BHop would get the decision, and was pleasantly surprised to see it go to Calzaghe. A case can be made for either fighter, and both very good ones.

I think Hopkins had the beating of Calzaghe really, he was much smarter in there and fought his fight. On the other hand, Calzaghe was busier and landed more.

115-112 Hopkins. I think Calzaghe landed about five effective shots. If you weere to make a highlight of the fight all the clean, powerful shots were coming from Hopkins.

How did the British commentators call it? I thought the HBO people were completely ridiculous.
