    take this into consideration...
as one dimensional , slow as he is...
Like or not...He still defeated the following fighters (some in their prime too)

    Arlovski x 2
    Monson
    Vera
Ricco Rodriguez (when he was still in his prime)
    McGee
    Whitehead x 2
    Rothwell

Nogueira recently beat him and so did couture...

All in all...As ****ing boring as he is...you can't deny that he has ko power (he's slow yes but he does have ko power)...You also have to admit that he generally uses his size and weight to his advantage...+ he's got a good sprawl and some basics in wrestling...(watch Monson vs Sylvia...But again , sylvia's size helps him a lot too)...

So , whatever he's worth...He still won these fights...in a boring fashion but he did. He also gave Nog a great fight (yes , nog is way past prime but still...)...

It's a bit too easy to call him a "bum" now that fedor defeated him in 36 seconds.....He's no zulu. (though he treated him the same way)

For the record, Sylvia was a bum waaaay before tonight. The man has absolutely no pedigree.

I give my hat off to Fedor, came in and destroyed tim in no time....Tim's no can and can be a handfull but Fedor used his lethal hands and brought him down quick......WOW....I didn't expect it to end that fast.

He was exciting until he fought AA. Those two sort of turned each other into very negative, safety first fighters and had a few dullish fights after the trilogy, Sylvia using his size and AA his athleticism to avoid too much engagement.

I like Sylvia though, still one of the best heaveyweights around imo.

He hast lost 3 of 4 last fights and his last win was against a guy who just went LHW. Not to turn on Tim all of the suddan but a one dimensional fighter like him usually has a short shelf life. Just ask Matt Hughes

Fedor took care of business. That's what the best fighter in the world is supposed to do.

Likening Sylvia to Hughes is an affront to all good MMA practitioners everywhere. Now I may not like Hughes but he was a damn good fighter who had pedigree. Hughes is 5,000 x the fighter Sylvia could ever hope to be. Please rescind that statement.

I like how one of the commentators said "Fedor is walking out like an excecutioner." Thats what he did, it was no fight it was an excecution.

Ummmmm NOOO because Tim has fought the best...when Hughes has fought someone good like GSP he has been destroyed twice and when he fought Alves he got destroyed again....Hughes will not beat anybody ever again with any talent....his last good win was against Penn and he was getting schooled until Penn separted his rib. Hughes has been overrated for years and has just recently been exposed...but ******s like you don't know any better.

To beat a guy in 36 secounds who has one of MMAs deepest Heavyweight resumes is pretty damn impressive. Sylvia isnt even close to a bum if bums beat Vera,Ricco,Arlovski,Rothwell,Whitehead,Monson ETC then I wanna be a bum to.

I always thought Sylvia was a bum - but I give him props for going after Fedor in his first fight out of the UFC.
