You're a complete numskull if you don't see why comparing Sylvia to Hughes is ill-advised. Hughes has fought better competition for longer than Sylvia with a much better success ratio without having to make excuses for being caught using steroids. Hughes actually has coordination and won his fights via skill as opposed to being much larger than his opposition. He beat St Pierre, Penn, Trigg, Newton, Sherk, Sakurai, etc. Why I'm even responding to your absolutely dumbfounding statement is beyond me. The fact that you used the term "exposed" tells me you're a ****in' idiot like most who use that term. Anytime a person loses they're "exposed." Exposed??? You know what, you're exactly right. They're exposed to ****in' stupid-ass comments from dumb-asses like you.

7 losses in 50 fights and the guy is "exposed."

Congratulations, sir. Take a bow. You've just won yourself the ESB dumbass of the night award.

A guy who cannot throw a punch and can only wrestle and do take takedowns, takedowns or takedowns is vulnerable against anyone who can stop it. At this point Kos, Fitch and other stronger wrestlers beat him....He hasn't just lost he has been brutally beat down.

So take a bow ******....don't be surprised if Serra can get by him.

Man calm the **** down this isnt sherdog. Hughes was exposed. He was exposed as not evolving with the sport. Thats not to take anything away from his achievements but the facts remain that when he lost he lost brutally and to fighters who were far more versatile than himself in recent years.

I was tanked up last night. Almost didn't see either Fedor/Silvia or Silva/Irvin stepped outside for a minute. Does Irvin have a glassjaw or was that just a perfectly placed punch? It ended pretty much the way I thought just alot quicker. I'd like to see Silva fight someone top 10 or less at 205 see what he can do. Funny thing was Silva was still the bigger guy, hows that? Crazy. Fedor did what he should have and I'm very happy about that, UFC fanboys need to stop with there hate for this guy I just don't get it. What can you really say about this guy, a beast, just a fabulous fighter too bad for the UFC they didn't land him. The greatest HW to step into the ring ever, and most Americans will never get to know him until he is old and retired. Hopefully for him this fight will get him some recognition, although I don't think he particularly cares for fame in the states. Anyway I'm sobered up a bit now and now I can start to process what the hell happened last night.

Hughes beat GSP and Penn. Two of the greatest fighters out there today. Let alone, he dominated most of the guys in his own era.

Ok so Sylvia quits vs Fedor big whoop I remember the great Shogun tapping out to Forrest Griffin. I remember Liddell ending the Light Heavyweight debate vs Wanderlei. So dont start this UFC vs Pride **** was Pride more entertaining probablly but UFC has had a the advantage in UFC vs Pride matchups. You know what the hell am I even talking about Prides dead and UFC is UFC everybody there is a UFC guy so I dont wanna hear no more bull**** like this unless its Pride remembering threads which wouldnt be bad.

I really don't like Pride Vs. UFC threads if you ask me they are just about even as far as fighters go, but Prides shows where just SSOOOOOO much better. Alright I'm done lets not change the subject.

The most successful title fights in the history of the sport is "short"?

    Absurd.

Nobody, ever, has had a longer run at the top than Hughes.

I can't take away what Hughes did...and he did beat Penn(but was losing before Penn gassed/rib injury and beat a young GSP in his second fight in the Octagon. That being said he beat almost everyone in front of him during his era. But in that era being a good wrestler and having great strenth and cardio was what it took, There is no way he survives with the new crop of WW's. He has almost zero standup ability.
