Ok, well I'm thinking about starting boxing. I can get help off one of my friends if needed, but thought I would post here first.

I have a few question please:

    1. What's the fastest way to burn fat? i.e Rowing machine, running? (I know diet has a lot to do with it.)

    2. I'm 6'3" and currently 172 lbs, what division should I aim for with my height? Maybe middleweight?

    3. Also, how long if I start to train, would it take to get my first match? I know it differentiates between people but, there must be an average, right?

    Thanks, in advance.

ok first off dont worry about burning fat, 6ft3 172pds nothing to worry about ( plus you will loose weight in training anyway) and the answer to all your questions lie in the gym.

Yea um 6'3 and 170, you're set bro. Im 6'0 and fight at 165 and Im taller and leaner than almost everyone I fight. Im also 5% body fat though. As for length of time till you compete, with no previous boxing experience... If you wanna win, Id say one to two year of a few times a week of training. I took two. I just sparred alot in those two years.
