For those who's been waiting for the result: Beibut Shumenov defeated former LHW world champion Montell Griffin on points, winning every single round according to boxrec. No more info yet.

The referee and the judges were local officials.
    Evgueni Gorstkov 120-107
    Rufat Riskiev 120-108
    Doniyor Ergashev 120-108

Shumenov' record is now 6-0 with 5KOs, all damn impressive wins for a fighter who started his pro career 9 months ago. Please post here any info (or video) you can find!

I heard rumours that he won by decision but I didn't see any confirmation.

Was he even that good an amateur? I remember he got knocked out of Athens quite early on. He's progressing at an amazing rate.

Pretty impressive result for a pro novice. We'll see how he progresses from here. I'm just wondering how fizzled out Griffin is.

Griffin is shot, and what is of most concern is why in the world Griffin would travel to Uzbekistan (or wherever this was) for a fight??

He had just beat Cummings in American and seemed content to get win #50 and then retire.

He must have been paid quite handsomely to fly across the world for this.
