    Did anyone else completely bug out during the last ten seconds, thinking "****, have I lost my mind? Did I forget how to speak English?" :lol:

    It looks like old Joppy got in enough licks to scrape and bruise the left side of Beibut's face a bit...unless that happened in sparring. There were no pics with the weigh-in article last night.

    Hopefully some video of the fight surfaces soon. Please post it up here if you come across it!

    KO looked kinda poor. Joppy didnt appear to get hit that hard, maybe just a poor angle ref in the way but he looked at the ref and got up the second the count reached 10.

    Im may sound like an ******* but i really dont tkae Shumenov seriously. The guy obviously must have the good with a belt that early and those kind of wins that early but his Campillo win was bull and until he fights Campillo again or a better fighter im not gonna hop on the bandwagon jsut yet

    It's Joppy's own fault for doing that.

    It certainly wasn't the most devastating KO, but he was clearly all done by his body language. He fought more or less like a ***** the whole time. I mean, respect for stepping through the ropes with a dangerous young puncher at 40...but if you're not into it or up for a serious effort anymore why even bother? :huh ($$$, I guess...)

    As for Beibut - there really is no one standout trait, except his fighting spirit...which is what has won over so many fans in such a short span.

    Oh yeah. He might have known that he was on his way to being knocked out for real, but either way he definitely packed it in after that one flush right hand.

    i didnt watch the fight just the KO so i didnt see the lead up or "Joppy fighting like a *****" and you are right Its Joppys fault and he was brave Im jsut pointing it out

    This kid has ALOT of work to do if he really wants to unify. He has potential, but everything needs polish, right done to his punching and not dropping his hands

    Fortunately for him the young "elite" at 175 have all looked poor lately (notably Dawson against Pascal, Pascal against Hopkins, and Cloud against Zuniga) and Hopkins has to be about ready to hang them up sooner than later. If it was a stronger division his dream would be of the pipe variety. As it is, he might have a shot if he catches those guys with their pants down and exploits subpar performances.
