I'd be surprised if Beibut didn't win. So many good cards on the 29th...I will be at Mohegan Sun watching Italian Warrior Manfredo and Connecticut's own Matt Sharp Shooter Remillard
Sounds like an awesome card, especially for the money. Hopefully Golden Boy's been taking care of most of the promotional work- I always had a sneaking suspicion it would come back to bite Shumenov in the ring with how thin he had himself stretched, so hopefully the Campillo loss was a wake-up call to focus more on the ring. What I mean by stretched too thin is that the guy literally based his fights halfway around the world, fighting half his fights in the US and half in Kazakhstan while promoting himself along with his brother, and still fighting excellent competition while developing. I can't help but respect the hell out of that kind of ambition, but I think he just bit off more than he could chew and it caught up to him in Campillo I. It'll be interesting to see how he handles the rematch.
I offically dislike him even more now lol That is some ***gy **** I'm hopeing Shumenov will have a Bute like performance in Bute Andrade II
Beibut Shumenov is ****ing garbage, Campillo did look impressive against Garay though. They both suck, but I think Campillo beats him decisively this time.
This content is protected A rematch between the two, Shumenov has been rushed through his professional career and has already faced a number of decent opponents including the likes of Byron Mitchell and Montell Griffin, he took on Campillo for the title last time out in his home country of Kazakhstan but lost a close points decision, somehow he has managed to get himself a rematch. Many believed that Shumenov actually deseved to win the first fight, so a rematch is not totally undeserved. Campillo has spent a lot of his career fighting in his native Spain, he was taken out of his depth a little in Kazakhstan, but survived, now he faces a new challenge in the bright lights of Las Vegas. Campillo is a little lucky to be champion, he was a super middleweight brought in for an easy first defence for Hugo Garay, Garay underestimated him and although he won the first 5 rounds comfortably he gassed out badly and ended up losing a close points decision, but he has taken the opportunity with both hands and will be looking for a second win over the cocky Shumenov. I think it will be another close fight and it will be decided by the judges, I am edging towards Shumenov because of the pull he has in Vegas, despite being from Kazakhstan he has made his home in Vegas, although Campillo is the champion I think he will need to win well to get the decision.
Campillo is improving too. I have a feeling this fight defies logic (Or maybe I am!) and Campillo shades him again in a battle of attrition.
This fight isn't exactly on neutral ground. Shumenov trains in Las Vegas. I have no idea who is going to win. I'll go with Shumenov.
