As much impressive his record is, his management is just as outstanding - in a negative way. How can you fight Wiggins, Finger, Griffin, Mendoza and Mitchell in just 8 fights and NOT have a single televised fight in the US, where you live, train and had half of your fights? It's professional boxing, and if you're not on TV, you don't exist. The only other fighter in the past decade with a first few fights as quality as Shumenov's, is Yuriorkis Gamboa, who was an ESPN, ShowTime and HBO main event fighter by his 10th professional match-up. It's just not right. :-(
I'm not really sure what Comcast is, but I don't remember that fight being aired on live TV outside of Kasakhstan. Even if it was, I highly doubt it produced any kind of notable ratings. The Shumenovs are doing it horribly wrong.
Well I'm not american so can't be sure.I think it's a channel of some sort. I got the whole card and it was Bob Sheridan doing the commentating. It even showed a full second of the Mendoza fight as a preview
He is his own management. As mentioned, the Wiggins card is being shown on tape delay on CN8, although it's a channel that only Comcast customers get.
I'd love to see him fight Erdei. There would be something quite poetic about a guy who obviously has tremendous ambition beating a champion with the least ambition in living memory. I'm excited to see how his career develops.
What?:huh Jesus where the hell these Idiots come from? Guys has 8 fights relative young and already taking former champions, you ****ing Imbecile:-(
