    Margarito is trash.

    On every level I could be making that statement.

    For all the complaints about USA bias reffing and judging on these forums, why do I think this one gets swept under the rug or even defended?

    The injury was clearly caused by a headclash, Carson targeted the eye after than, was reckless as all hell, headbutted him several more times, he punded away on the eye in the 7th, at that point Margarito's eye was shot again, he couldn't defend on his right side, you can tell he can't see them coming therefore he was compromised by an njury Jones caused, he said he couldn't see, if you watch the 7th, he's not lying, so the doctor did the right thing and stopped the fight, and it went to the scorecards, because that's what happens when an injury is caused by a headclash and the fight has to be stopped, and guess what, he hadn't done quite enough to definitively beat Margarito on points at the time, so tough ****, that's boxing, get over it. Maybe if the a-hole wasn't so goddamn bound and determined to further injure Margarito's ****ed up eye maybe Margarito could have lasted a few more rounds and be stopped legitimately, but oh well, Carson wanted to play rough, so he paid for it, cry me a ****ing river.

    Ol' Cyborg Eye being allowed to fight over half a decade ago and still drawing attention is odd to me.

    Why retire when he can "win" fights like that? Maybe he can get a big fight with Cotto in the same setting and when it's clear he's not only going to lose but probably get knocked out, quit in his corner and then have the decision given to him!

    Carson beat the hell out of AM. He was beaten physically and mentally, stopped the fight because marg could not continue.

    Saying that, both fighters put on a great fight, Jones proved to be the better fighter. Turned out exactly how I thought, only difference I thought marg was too much of a "badass" to quit.

    Both those shot fighters would beat the brakes off that fraud mcquitter within those 8 rounds

    Just watching the fight now and just seen the end of round 5. Jones genuinely could have stopped Margarita there, round ended with 0:22 on the clock.

    I see what you're saying but to me it's a given if Cotto does fight this shot to **** cheat, he's putting him to sleep before the rounds reach double digits.
