I'm a bigger fan of Yamanaka than I am of Nery, that being said, I predicted Nery would KO Yamanaka, bad style clash especially for an old coot version of Yamanaka, so I hope he avoids the rematch, because the same fate that befell him the first time, awaits him in the rematch.
I mean by that logic you shouldn't even score knockdowns in situations where you don't agree with the ref's call. Not to give you any bright ideas, lol. I mean you do you, but I choose to do the honorable thing and go by the book and score by the official rules even when they give me cause to grumble a little.
Oh, I'd already thought of that. I usually abide by the rules on the RBR's for big time matches, but I figured I could do my ting on this one, and for the record that round was worthy of a 9-9, Nery basically beat the living **** out of Villanueva from bell to KD, got clipped, went down, hopped right back up, and beat the **** out of him for the rest of the round.
This fight being approved without drug test is ridiculous. I read this drug improves your breathing. More oxygen more stamina and pop in fights. Saw the replay good fight. Villanueva hurt Nery in the 5th and 6th but the roids rage was too much to overcome.
Nery is a very talented fighter, it would be intersting to see him face the likes of Tete, Burnett and Inoue.
I like it how Nery used his shoulder in the inside against Villanueva to limit Villanueva's ability to hit Nery when they were toe-to-toe.
