The main event was great, but Juárez vs. Delgado was just as good, maybe even better (and will be overlooked because neither is a big name like Margarito...and the way timing worked out most didn't see it live because Ortiz vs. Thompson overlapped with most of it, whereas everybody was free to check out Margarito vs. Páez once HBO went off-air)

LOL...Exactly my point as well !

They're hoopin and holerin like drunks in a Saloon after a long cattle drive...!

The bum edged out a class C fighter after getting floored and escaping a 6 th round KO.

...and there's climatic celebration that his eye held up...?

    On the non-televised undercard:

6-0 light welterweight prospect Ramón "Bombardero Café" Hidalgo was upset by 15-2 Francisco Rojo, via KO6. Rojo is reported to have received a standing ovation when he scored the knockout. Emanuel "Vaquero (Cowboy)" Navarette extended his win streak to 8-0 (7) with a fifth round TKO against Oswaldo Castro. His overall record now stands at 13-1 (12), and the lone defeat came in the flyweight division finals of the Cinturón de Oro XVIII tourney, with Navarette crowned the champion despite losing because his opponent not only failed to make weight but skipped the weigh-in altogether.

13thr, you got any highlights of these?

He's a B class fighter but my point is they were both in the same class last night.

Absolutely. I only had Margarito edging him by one point. That isn't a huge insult, though. Maromerito is a serviceable little fighter and I knew heading in that he would be tough for a long-absent Margarito (possibly enough to spring the upset, which he came pretty close to doing if not for having too little gas to capitalize on the knockdown)

Margarito seems to be losing his punch resistance. Paez dropped him hard. Margarito is also throwing arm punches that don't have any power. I didn't like the look.
