Nah Margarito has always been more of a grinder than a one punch KO artist, he had Paez holding on and running in the last two rounds, had the match gone into the 11th Paez would have been stopped, Benavidez Jr. much younger and just as big didn't do as good against Jorge as Margarito did, Paez was able to bully him and beat him along the ropes, and the finally after 10 or 11 close rounds Jose stopped him in the 12th.

Tony looked fine, Jorge looked like Rios in there on occasion with his head snapping back and forth. As far as his chin goes, I've seen many fighters after a year layoff go down in the first round, after 4 years off and the nature of that match, I'd say his chin is still solid.

    Is that sarcasm? :D

Seriously, except for the knockdown round, Paez Jr. got soundly outworked.
Paez Jr. had his moments, but I had him winning just 2 or the 10 rounds.
That's not grounds for a rematch.

I had it much closer, as did all the judges. (one even had it 95-94 to Margarito, same as me...and the beIN Sports Español commentator only had it a round wider, at 96-93...)

I had it a near shutout for Margarito.

IB you should reveal your huge bias for Paez.:deal

As far as this match goes I'm not biased at all.

Was rooting for Margarito. Always do fighter like him who are not so much skilled but have huge hearts and work their ass off.

However, that wasn't just any knockdown. Margarito went down hard, and if not for Paez punching himself out, Margarito likey would have been stopped.

Cant see where Paez won 4 rounds, just don't see it.

Possibly, but he recovered well and went right back to work plugging away about a minute into the next round, if his chin was that badly faded he wouldn't have been able to bounce back like that.

Most likely its similar to what happened with Guerrero vs. Martinez, Guerrero thought a light hitter like Aron couldn't hurt him, he stood in the pocket and ate a ton of small shots from a small puncher, chipping away at him and eventually one caught hit the right way and he went down. Guys punching you in the face hurts no matter how featherfisted they may be.

But Guerrero came back a few months later and was never even close to going down against a relatively big puncher like Danny Garcia. Same thing could possibly apply to Margarito, he took Jorge's punching power to lightly and he paid for it. Most likely he won't do that the next time.

    1st, 6th 10-8, 7th (close) and 8th (close)

You said you gave him the 2nd which I had for Margarito close, that would actually with the extra point give Páez, Jr. the W on my card..

Not the 2nd, I said I had Paez only winning 2 of the 10 rounds.

I think I gave Paez the 1st and of course the 6th.

The 1st round was more a study round that could easily be scored even or even for Margarito.

Paez only really won one round clear.

I'm sure Tony would be only too happy to give him one, but I know he really wants to get his hands on Mosely & Cotto.
What happened that night with Mosely & that POS Richardson
was nothing short of criminal. NOTHING was ever proven against Tony. As for the CSAC?? Both them & the NSAC are crooks. They haven't finished with Javier Capetillo even now.
There is signed proof the Capetillo's license to work fighters corners was reinstated by the CSAC , When someone queried him working a corner the CSAC claimed they'd never reinstated him. :patsch:patsch Yet they have him name on list as licensed.???
When you have blatant misconduct like this & the corruption shown by the NCAC in the Mayweather case how can you come to any other conclusion BOXING IS CORRUPT !! Even at State Commission level

I just sat & watched it , thanks to Moparfan. Good fight both guys gave 100%. Tony had a little ring rust which was to be expected. Paez fought a good fight, got away with use of the head aiming for the eye though
I scored it 97-93 Margarito. I gave Paez round 1 & then KD round 10-8
Kudos to both fighters that is what I call a FIGHT!!!!

The video has been uploaded by a bunch of different people, but still no Juárez vs. Delgado - and that was the better fight! :-(
