Ferguson is plunking jabs in between the eyes of Tabul and muscling him into the ropes. Tabul is exhausted, jogging on the back-foot and flipping up backhanded jabs or collapsing atop Ferguson to initiate clinches. Ferguson is coming on some, and seems to have shored up some energy for a come-forward round. Ferguson careful not to blow his wad, attacking in spurts. Parabolic lead right hands skipping over the guard and short range stiff jabs by Ferguson. Tabul is clapping his fists up top to fend Ferguson off, but getting lit up with jabs and not landing very effectively in return. Tabul clinches and digs some weak body shots.

Turns out you were right. I thought both were equally gassed already, but they weren't.

 

Round 6

Both are tentatively reaching in with jab-feints and yanking themselves out of reach, in turns. Neither wants to walk into anything big and neither has the energy to consistently hold their arms up to form a guard. Ferguson starts to pick up the pace a little and scores a few jabs. Tabul answers with a jab to the belly and roaring overhand right from a crouch to escape the corner. Ferguson steps back and lets him stir oxygen. Tabul repeats the combo, whiffing again. Ferguson is sitting back with his knees bent, hips lowered, turning into a partial shoulder roll as he makes Tabul lunge and over-extend with jabs and rights that graze or miss. Ferguson is countering with jabs and body shots from a Philly shell. Tabul crashes into him chest to chest and they clasp together in a mutually willing clinch, both very tired. Weak reach-around body slaps above the kidneys from both.
