I'm a fan of both but I lean more towards Floyd. Floyd is just straight up gifted. I respect Floyd so much because he made it doing it his way. Back when he was eating the humble pie and knocking opponents out on a regular nobody really gave a damn about him. Now his style evolved and he adopted the villain role now his name is in everybody's mouth and he is the highest paid boxer today. I can't knock that hustle. His personality doesn't concern me. I don't know him, so what do I care if he likes to flash his money or walk around saying he is the greatest boxer ever. I thought Mike Tyson was a dumb**** but that sure as hell didn't stop me from watching his fights and supporting him.

Manny is a straight up beast. That is just the truth of it. But I still wanna see him fight someone who isn't already on the decline or doesn't have a perfect style suited for him. In all honestly he lost quite a few points in my book for the blood testing issue. I have taken part in many blood test so being afraid of them just doesn't make sense to me. I have been waiting for him to say - "Fine, I will take your test and prove you wrong by proving I am clean and beating you anyway." I would been singing his praises until the day he died. But when he continues to act like a scared choir boy whenever he is asked about the test........???????????

Lets just say that's a far cry from the supposed "fearless warrior" type of fighter that I thought he was.

I'm a fan of both. Bigger fan of Pacquiao because of his exciting style and he is a fellow countryman from a country that doesn't produce many international sports stars. He represents Filipinos well too with his humility and charity. I'm a fan of Floyd as I watch all his fights. Great master boxer in the ring. If you read all my posts hating on Floyd, it's all about the stuff he does outside the ring, not inside. And yes, it does matter what a fighter does outside the ring. That's the reason why some Filipinos aren't fond of Nonito Donaire (I'm not one of them).

    I feel the same.

I near enough support both equally.

When PAC refused drug testing the first time. I blamed PAC.
When floyd then refused the fight after pac agreed to testing, I blamed floyd
When PAC decided to fight MOSLEY, i blamed PAC
when floyd ****ed off on ''vacation''. i blamed floyd.

Both amazing fighters in their own right.
Floyd the hard working tactical genious. Finesse speed and skill.
Pac equally hard working, brute stamina hand speed, power and heart.

I think a person can appreciate both fighters skills evenly but because they are both polar opposites in personality I think you will emotionally connect with one or the other! So you will always lean towards one of them.....i personally am more a mayweather fan because I was a kid when I saw him fight in the olympics and my grandad turned to me and said ''that mayweather kid will be something very special'' ive been a fan and followed his career ever since

its not possible to be a fan of both because people are blind...Floyd & Manny are more alike then portrayed. They are both cherry pickers, fight once or twice a year, only fight the biggest names for the biggest money with the lowest risk, etc. There are only 2 differences between them 1) Mayweather tells us he fights for money & Pacquiao fights for money but claims he does it for the fans and his people 2) They both face big name opponent w/ low risk high reward but Floyd fights them when they are coming off a big or the biggest win of their careers & Pacquiao faces them when they are coming off of terrible performances or a huge loss

i disagree. Pacquiao has done his dirt outside the ring too, I feel that Filipinos are reluctant in supporting Donaire because he is more of an American, he speaks perfect English and he was in the states since he was like 6

Not quite. You can be born in the US like Brian Viloria and be better liked. Donaire is hated by some because he can be cocky as hell, well at least cocky in Filipino standards. Cockiness ("mayabang" in Filipino) is a trait frowned upon in Filipino as well as East Asian culture in general. That's why you won't find that many Floyd fans who are Asian.

Manny doesn't have to kiss the media's AZZ. Manny is Manny. He is what he is. My uncle is very good friends with Manny. What you see is what you get. I assume Floyd and his family are true to the media as how they are in real life. Their upcoming trials are a testament to that.

    Floyd a G.

Aren't filipinos too dark to be grouped with the far east crack*rs?

I know a few asian kids who like $. They typically have been boxing fans before emmanuel blew up.

From an ethnicity standpoint, Filipinos can be classified as East Asian or Pacific Islander. The Philippines is located in South East Asia, but the language is Polynesian in origin, related to Samoan, Tongan, Hawaiian, etc. Many have mixed blood as well: Spanish, Chinese, Indian. You said the key word right there about $ Asian fans. Few.
