Do you think it affects the training? Would a very experienced boxer feel they know better than a younger trainer? I know I would...

Examples are Shane McGuigan with David Haye, J. Banks and Klitschko.

The boxer always thinks that he knows better than his trainer. It doesnt matter how old is his trainer.

It happened to me, and it happened to every single gym-mate I've ever met. You always think that the you are right and the trainer's not. (untill you get beaten hard, and learn the truth by the hard way.)

My trainer always said to me, you have two ways to learn, 1) you do what I tell you 2) you get beaten until you learn.

I always chose the second one :goofy:

This. Even the best fighters can't train themselves. As good as Ali and SRL were even they had to pay the price when they didn't listen to Angelo.
