    Bektemir Melikuziev is a 5'9 19 year old Middleweight Amateur. Born in and fighting out of Fergana, Uzbekistan. With the lengths of many fighters from the East's amateur careers, this kid may not end up turning pro after the 2016 Olympics we may have to wait all the way until after 2020, but hopefully it'll be sooner rather than later. He's come onto the scene in 2015 with a bang tearing through legit top amateurs at Middleweight scoring wins over the very talented Kazakh Zhanibek Alimkhanuly and Ireland's Michael O'Reilly already. He's come in first place in 15 of the tournaments he participated in since 2010. He has an incredibly aggressive style he comes flying headlong into punches on a mission to destroy, he actually reminds me of a young Marcos Maidana and he seems to possess a pretty good chin. He's got an incredibly awkward style, he lunges in at weird angles throws awkward punches, he has very fast feet with good footwork constantly circling his opponents in an erratic manner ambushing them with jabs and one twos completely disrupting their rhythm.     This the area in Uzbekistan Bektemir comes from called the Ferghana Valley, pretty rugged, and most likely producing equally rugged fighters.

    And he's only 19 hopefully he'll turn pro relatively soon like Bivol he's already better than a lot of pro MW's, and he's has a pro friendly style for damn sure.

    big puncher too, however Uzbek fighters rarely if ever go pro. However id like to see him stay pro until the next Olympics, turn pro with 2x Olympic gold, 3x world titles and 20 wsb fights under his belt and maybe apb pro fights. would still only be 23/24 and would be ready for a world title in 5 fights


    on the bright side Uzbekistan have a wsb team next year:smoke
