    Dear Lexy,

It was over four years ago that you earned your mandatory spot at challenging Wladimir Klitschko to fight for the real heavyweight title of the world. Congratulations on surviving this terrible trauma. It was probably the scariest thing you've ever lived through. But you picked yourself up, dusted yourself off and carried on, winning nine fights in a row after this personal and tragic loss. You've even won some kind of pretty homosexual version of one of Wladimir's many belts. What a personal triumph! :happy

Not many men could have or would have come back from this as well as you have. You're a credit to Russia and a personal hero of mine. May you go on to defend Wladimir's WBA title's ******ed little sister for many years to come, without having to think about big mister scary Ukranian man. For you need no excuses to be THE CHAMPION of the third tier of heavyweights (Wlad champion of first tier, Vitali champion of second tier). And that is special. Again, belated congrats on your 4 year anniversary.

    Sincerely yours,
    Gilberto Men-er-Mr. Oliver Klozoff

I hate it as much as anyone when a guy only shows up for the payday but it's amazing that Povetkin doesn't even want that. I can't believe I used to think this guy would end up Wlad's second best win. :patsch

Even worse. When we had fight week against Thompson (fight 1) in Hamburg, team Povetkin has a british double decker bus outside the hotel with loud speakers call team Klitschko out.... all day and into the night for 3 days:lol:

THEN HE NO SHOWS AT THE PRESSER:patsch:patsch

If I tried explaining the WBA heavyweight title situation to a non-fan, they'd be completely bewildered. Then they would ask me why I'm a boxing fan. Then I'd give them the lineage from Ruiz through SNV to Chagaev to SNV to Haye to Povetkin and his last fight where Marco Huck was basically robbed. That young Fred Flintstone could be a title holder right now... nobody would believe this convoluted garbage.

He could not have handled it better though. And he gets to say twenty years from now that he scared a guy so badly he wouldn't even come to the press conference with his pee-stained pants after he signed to fight him.

:rofl:rofl:rofl Do you think Putin would try to wack you guys if you went to Povetkin and did the same thing?

I swear this place must be run by Oprah. "And YOU get a belt! And YOU get a belt! And YOU get a belt! EVERYONE GETS A WBA BEEEEEELT!"
