Taking the girlfriend to Belfast for a couple of nights over x-mas anyone been before? was just wondering if as an Englishman will I have to have my wits about me a bit, or is it ok now days? anyone recommend any good pubs and restaraunts or anything else worth visiting? cheers
should be fine... go into the Irish boxing thread in the 'Boxing forum', few lads from belfast there will tell u good places to go. I've only been to belfast twice. Had a great time both times.
you wont have any problems, we are a venerable mix of all the peoples of humanity cathedral quarter has the great bars and good restaurants aside from that youl be able to find out most yourself when you get here, central / tourist Belfast is pretty tiny compared to Dublin London Manchester etc
I've been a few times quite a while ago but due to circumstances I didn't have a very good time  . Some of the lads who have been back recently reckon it to be a cracking night out if you can get a local to guide you...I want to go back myself but have always found an excuse not to.
I've got a big family in Belfast, I've only been over about 6 times though, lovely place, nice people, great grubb, BUT it's always been raining when I've been, take a raincoat!
Continental market is here at the minute not sure how long for but its been a great night any time I've been.
