Pride FC had no drug testing, Both Wandi and Rampage were roided out of their minds.

The UFC guys were juicing too. I've still seen endless shilling against the Pride guys despite that.

And Silva's rapid decline has more to do with bad losses to Cro Cop, Hendo and a war with Hunt than anything else.

No doubt. Wanderlei had some hard hard fights.

Not forgetting stories in the gym. They said he used to spar heavyweights to see how he could recover from taking shots from HW fighters.

The cro crop defeat was the beginning of the end. So brutal that defeat.

Man I miss Pride. When pride died my love for mma declined. I barely watch it now. Japanese mma just had something special about it. I don't get the same buzz from ufc.

Pure speculation, slanted to back your position. Nobody with a clear mind would suggest that a top level MMA guy wouldn't improve his game in four years.

No just stating facts about the Brazilians being juiced to the gills in PRIDE, as some of you would say. I've never been a big Jackson fan. Never been a big Silva fan either. I have no stake in it either way.

It's not speculation. He fights in exactly the same manner lol with the same set of skills. He was already a top 5-10 guy in that period. Sure. He's made subtle improvements, but nothing vast enough to suggest that he could solve the riddle that MacDonald was when they fought. His low output style would do him in yet again.

You consider fight tape speculation? Woodley is largely the same fighter he was 3-4 years ago. Any improvements he's made are subtle at best. What's changed then is top competition falling off and either retiring or become completely washed up. Woodley can't deal with technical fighters with good TDD who can keep him pushed to the cage and avoid his right hand. That's what MacDonald did. Anyone capable of implementing a similar gameplan can completely shut down Woodley. It's not rocket science man. Woodely is a low output guy who fights in small bursts if the fight remains standing. Hence why MacDonald was able to completely nullify him.

McDonald got the better of him the first time. How do you know it just wasn't an off night? I mean, it's a hell of a lot of speculation man. The current Woodley is a better, more honed fighter than the Woodley of four years ago. Only a hater would think otherwise. The guy that beat Aldo way back in the day. Do you think he would have beaten Aldo four years later? Is the haterade good?

So then you're speculating too by the bizarre standard you've thrown at me. Stick to your own rules man.

Stupid comparison. I'm talking about a guy who was already an established name, a top contender and in his early 30s. Aldo was NINETEEN and still in the regional scene.

    Calm down tough boy.

If they pay me, i'll fight Gegard any day - take a shot, go down and walk away with the money. But im not a fighter though, im a fan - so that ofc wont happen.

Clear your head, take a deep breath and relax a bit. Rory is a great fighter, but this never was a competitive fight. They were making him better than he actually is, FACTS.

As you're saying. Rory might not be the same fighter anymore, but he was promoted as the same supreme fighter he once was. Therefore i'll say he is overrated. But Bellator needs a fight like that to gain more interest. I don't buy into all those old and washed up way past prime fighters.

Maybe they should start promoting and hyping some of there young and promising fighters instead of guys like Rampage, Sonnen, Fedor, Wanderlei, Mir and so on. That's just pathetic.
