He's earned it with this win. Clear nod against the former champion. Don't think he has enough left to beat Mousasi again though.

Nice performance from Macfarlane. Triangle armbar position with brutal ground and pound before snatching the armbar up. Sub 3 for Macfarlane

 

Machida made a good move going to Bellator. He's faided considerably but can still be a big fish in a small pond. Also he can angle for pretty much any fight he wants at MW-HW considering he has wins over Mousasi and Bader. I bet he's making a lot more with sponsors as well. Bellator has picked up again in the last 6 months or so. The last few months have been fairly enjoyable and not cringy.
