Thanks! Alvarez is a beast! I met him when he was flying out of Atlantic City airport. He has a beautiful wife who you saw in there with him after the fight and three small sons. Very nice guy and easy to root for. He just seemed like a regular family guy whose family was going to Disneyworld while he was on a business trip to fight. The bout turned out to be his epic battle with Michael Chandler. The same weekend probably the best MMA bout of all-time took place - Hendo vs Shogun.
I hope we see Alvarez fight Melendez in Strikeforce soon. All these Bellator guys' contracts are running out and they're looking to get paid. I wouldn't be surprised to see any of them turn up in the UFC overnight.
