For Tony Bellew, as a fighter are you ever concerned what a big hitter like Stevenson or Kovalev could do to you if they landed big or do you just think positive about beating them and not worry about getting clubbed?
Tony are you still working with Jihad?. I noticed he wasn't around for the second fight. Did you feel maybe it was a contributing factor to your draw?. Not to say he's not good but sometimes to many cooks etc. Your trainer seems more then good enough to do job on his own as he showed in second fight.
Not really. I mean I study opponents like they study me, you take into account there strongest points and you try and take them away from them.. You then look at the worst attributes and try and use them against them, people who say game plans don't work are clueless, believe me game plans alone have won me fights.. Don't get me wrong you have to have a fighter who can stick to one as that can be the toughest part sometimes:good
Not at the min pal.. I'd never blame anybody but myself for my performances.. I believe cowards blame trainers.. At the end of the day I fight not my coaches.. I didn't perform against Chilemba in the first fight cos I simply was dead on my feet after 7 rounds.. I knew the reasons Behind it and so did my team but that was for us to discuss, I went into the rematch with a lot of pressure on myself but I also knew I was a better fighter than him in every department.. Well possibly not at avoiding punches though:yep P.s you couldn't hit him clean with a hand full of rice..:good
Thanks for reply Tony :good. Yeah i was at O2 that night and he was like a Eel. Slippery customer and i could see you wasn't just happy to win but glad to see back of him. Horrible guy to fight but could be the man that's given you the best education in the ring you could of hoped for going into the fight with Stevenson or Cloud. Could see you learned a lot from first fight..
Tony, you seem to get ridiculously unnecessary stick at times but I wish you the best of luck in your next fight. Always enjoy listening to you talk as you come across as intelligent and articulate. Bring home that belt! :good
Kovalev is no hype job, not by a long shot!!! He will knock out the other champions if they get up the nerve to fight him.............
:rofl:rofl LondonRingLicker brutally pwned by pro boxer Bellew in front of a global audience of millions.
Bellew is a Blevel fighter with average chin, average defense, average power, average speed, and average footwork. He'll do well do long as he continues to fight average fighters who excell in one category or another but are severely deficient in others. He'll beat the Chilembas and Clouds and Stevensons of the division, but if he fights a Hopkins, Bute, Kovalev, or Ward he'll be leaving the ring on his back or on the tail end of a 120-105 type decision.
Dear Tony, As you have probably noticed a certain Scott Gilfoid slag off your boxing ability at every other turn on this site, and also every other British boxers. Could you do us all a massive favour and publically call him out for a little sparring session (if you're as bad as he says then im sure he wouldnt mind) so you can spark him unconscious please. just a thought! Also best of luck when you take on Stevenson! Dig deep know you can do it!
I said they thought he was a hype job.. If they thought he was the real deal do you think they would have brought him over with no rematch clause in place? Believe me there not in business of serving up there only world champion for someone else to destroy.. I personally think he's extremely strong but I also feel he's not gonna be as effective later on as he is early on and that's what his record and the tapes suggest pal..
Thanks so your basically saying ill become a world champion.. It wasn't long ago the likes of you was saying I was domestic level at best and that ill get shown up in the Chilemba fight.. Well I beat him and I'm gonna beat whoever I need to beat to bring that belt home.. As for yourself... Keep on watching as you motivate the more you write, thank you :good
I don't even know who he is mate? But I'll say this he's always welcome to my gym for some sparring :yep
