Yeah, he's lanky ungainly pressure fighter who is pretty poor on the outside. He also needs the other guy to be a stationary target or engage, in order to do then fire shots off himself. He can't create opportunities off his own back.

When you break a bone, some time after it goes numb.

Tony never said a word after the fight or on the show. Watch the show. I ask and he refuses to tell me. I wrote the Independent column hours before the broadcast. Let's not let this become an 'excuses' issue. It's the opposite. People often need to read the Whole article or watch the Whole article.

    Adios.

I still don't get why people won't accept injuries for boxers as if they're supposed to be some superhuman iron men that should be able to all throw 200 hundred punches a round for 12 rounds and fight every other week.

Haye can barely balance on his back foot, Clev has a damaged rib, Bells gets a fractured hand, Hopkins shoulder swells up yet they're all supposed to not say anything and just carry on fighting :patsch

Then people ask them why they didn't do certain things and they're not supposed to answer?

I love how Bunce brings up the fact he "didn't want to mention it", giving Bellew the ground to mention it, then Bellew states i don't want to mention it Bunce, ive no excuses, then says but my hands always been a problem.

So in the end he did mention what he didn't want to mention........

Do you take us all for mugs mate?

He mentioned that hands were an issue in the fight. However, he was banging his hands together in the post fight press conference. And these hands were broken of course.

You're such a ****. All you do is slag off fighters and trainers that post here. I have not got involved in this **** before, and kept giving you the benefit of the doubt, but you're a mug. Not only that but one who ran his mouth continuously and then bottled going to a gym when given an invite.

Yeah yeah, you're just being "honest" and generally going about it in an attention ***** fashion being needlessly insulting because you like to act up behind internet anonymity.

Cracking fight and even though I had Tony winning by one round, how both acted at the final bell was class.

Would love to see a rematch down the line and would also love to see that Dave Parris never judges ever again. What a corrupt tosspot that bloke is.

had bellew up by 4 with 2 left.clev won the last 2.bellew started to trade at end of 4th,big mistake.Bellew was winning rounds with his jab and clev wasnt coming forward the way he usually does(bellew must punch hard because clev usually takes more chances to get inside)massive learning fight for bellew.showed he has speed,a great jab and plenty of heart, just needs to pace the fight out better and not to get sucked into a fight when he doesnt need to.with a bit of experience bellew beats clev very easily.cleverley on the other hand didnt impress me much at all.

I'm just saying it as I see it mate I mean no disrespect to anyone.

And I'm not putting myself in danger of taking a hiding from farnell mate, thats just stupid. Even at his age he could do me serious harm.

As for this issue, well I'm not the only one who doesnt like the hands excuse coming out.

As for bellew, it was a spectacular performance by him and I had it a draw when I watched it again and think he has the measure of clev if he fights a more disciplined fight.
