Tony get back to your old ways. Enjoyed the fight the other night, thats probably the most skilled i ve seen you...congratulations on the win. Think the draining over the years was starting to take a bit out of you....thought you boxed very well. Going to be a massive challenge, moving from light heavy weight to cruiserweight but one you look up for.

All we want is honesty tony, if you come on here and give us that, i m sure everyone here would get behind you. That guy the other night was a good test for the first fight at the new weight i understand he mixed at world level a few years back, why not tell us that, thats still a good win. It's when we try to make out he was at that level last week, not really aimed at you because i think you did mention it was a while back but just an example of why people go against boxers because the promoters, boxers, trainers, commentators are pulling the wool over people's eyes a bit at times.

Not sure if it's something your all aware of, to draw fans in, which is fair play if thats true. Maybe keep it up for the sky camera's etc. But most guys that come on the forum follow boxing, come on and be honest with them. You'll probably find we'll all start routing for you again, can never have enough fans pal.

ps watched the i-film video, thought you were fine someone that people would listen to about boxing etc, except for one point i will try to make, dont intimadate people, even though you were joking around, it still doesn't come across that well because tony your a fighter you dont need to be intimadating to people you can already beat up, you'll find 9 people out of ten will give you respect anyway because your a fighter and a good one at that, it's the one out of ten you might sometimes need to intimidate ;)

pps dont go all curtis woodhouse on my ass!

Best of luck for the future tony and well done on a good win.

Always amazes me how stupid little things get picked up on here, especially considering this is a boxing forum where people talk about fighting.

So a boxer who was stopped in his last fight is getting stick for a euphoric roar after a win and KO? Hahaha. :patsch

You shouldn't take any notice of what a top level sportsman says when he has a mic thrown at him moments after competing in any event. Especially a boxer, considering they've just been punched in the face for 36 minutes!

Emotion and Adrenaline is powerful stuff and makes you do wierd things. Grown men have a kiss, cuddle and dance after scoring a goal lol.

He didn't prove to be above British title level. Huck makes mincemeat of him.

Agree with you to an extent casual fan, but there's nothing better than getting behind a fighter thats likeable especially one that takes the time to come on a forum to socialise with fans.

The most i supported a boxer in years was hatton, i remember watching the mayweather fight, i must have been more nervous than hatton with every punch and if you knew me, it's not really how you'd describe me as.

I ll be honest if tony had won the title against stevenson, i'd have been happy enough for him, but if hatton had won against mayweather i would have been over the ****ing moon. Thats what tony should be aiming for from people. Suppose you cant please everyone, people do overanalyse everything nowadays. it's hard because these guys are in a hard game, dont think people realise how hard they need to work in training etc. They deserve to have fans willing them on to win title's etc, for what they put themselves through. I think if they give us honesty, they'll get that back from the fans. If you look at most boxers that people go against, the reason they did was because they started distorting the truth a bit. Hatton done that at the end with his p4p number one talk and froch with some of his deluded chat.

Tony I think the point some people are trying to make is that you didn't come across very well in that interview and you're not even dismissing is as banter. It seemed threatening.
As a boxer you should know you're very capable of knocking someone out without really even trying, as you keep saying with your power, and to threaten a reporter, can be seen as trying to be intimidating.

He's sound (for a blue anyway), personally think he's an entertainer and the things like the roaring into the camera should just be taken as part of the show

Good to see him back performing well, his last couple of fights were more interesting for the press conferences than the fight

Another Killer Kovalev alt, pick a name of a guy ego bombed a mosque, how creative and sad. I genuinely feel sorry for you, you weren't born a racist you just had a lack of education and were no doubt surrounded by scumbags growing up. This is all getting very sad that this guy needs to come on a boxing forum making new names just to call everyone an Asian, isn't there race forums for this :huh

Keep crying. You can dish it but not take it. You was doing well before the fight. You said your not going to make promises, just do you talking in the ring, and that was a good attitude i was rooting for ya but as soon as you win you started acting like a rite walley and watched that iFlim vid and if thats what you are like normally then your defo a tosser. Bet Kugan thinks your a rite bellend :deal

You always talkin **** about people, always talking **** about Clev but lets be real here Clev has not mentioned your name since he clearly beat you. You are obssessed!
