We knew this would happen. Hearn would have offered next to nothing to Haye. Let's face it though a declining Haye is still a bigger draw than Bellew.

There could also be something in the fact that the first fight was a joint promotion between Matchroom and Hayemaker Ringstar. For all we know EH may be insisting that a rematch is an exclusive Matchroom promotion.

Haye isn't in a position to demand anything.

It took two to get people interested in that fight. Haye gave Bellew an opportunity by getting in the ring with him in the first place, so I personally feel that offering Haye the same terms has Bellew accepted in the first fight isn't right. Bellew has earned his 50/50 though & should have it.

In the first fight yes, Haye had claim to being the draw, the bigger name and everything that goes with that and he got it, Bellew basically swallowed and accepted it.

Haye lost, he was stopped, regardless of the injury the fact is Haye lost, if Haye wants revenge or wants to "set the record straight" then that will come at a cost.

If Haye really wants that then he will just take the fight, terms wouldn't be such a major issue for him. Obviously things like rematch clauses (If Haye won) and certain options I can understand that could be an issue but Hayes purse and percentages shouldn't be a problem.

If those things are an issue for Haye, Then you have to ask the question.. Does Haye really want a chance at revenge or does he just want another payday on Sky Sports PPV?

Can talk about revenge etc. All we like...

But on the business side, haye is the draw, Bellew makes far more than he would fighting anyone else, even if he takes the smaller cut...

Haye on the other hand can make the same money by taking a bigger piece of a smaller pie fighting someone else so why accept the terms with a smaller slice...

He got £1m for gjergaj allegedly...

Ultimately, unless he's stupid Bellew will give a little on terms and the fight should get made...we'll see but money talks...these are businessmen at the end of the day...

The only thing he draws these days is his partner's foreskin

Why do people believe anything Haye says, he is a master salesman, says what ever is needed to get the ££

Watched behind the ropes for Haye v Bellew back the other day every pretty much everything Bellew said happened, and the smug arrogance of Haye/Shane that annoyed me pre fight are absolute comic gold post fight

Bellew gave into every single demand for the first but was very clear in the press conference the rematch he would grant Haye WHEN his body gave up and Bellew stopped him would be on Bellews terms. Rightly so.

As for being a lucky world champion he was down heavily in the first round of a fight he was odds on to lose, against an opponent nobody wanted any of, yet showed the mental strength and desire to get up and take him out.

Would he beat Usyk, I very much doubt it, maybe at this stage he would struggle even v Breidiss. Are there pay days aside from Haye? Ward/Parker/Whyte all sell over here.
Away from his often Ill advised pre fight comments which have calmed since stopped boiling down to light heavy other than in grudge matches he is a clean living family man who has devoted his life to boxing and got his rewards

Bellew should get the bigger purse. Haye said after fight he will do it on Tony's terms, also Bellew beat him and Bellews promoter/broadcaster is the one with money for the event.

Why are people saying Haye is the draw?

Bellew's numbers stack up. His ppv v clev did well. He sold 20k tickets for his fight at Goodison Park.

The success of Haye v Bellew had just as much to do with Bellew as it did Haye.

Bellew chats a lot of crap but there is no doubt he played it huge part in the fight v Haye being sold out within mins and the high ppv buyrate. The win at Goodison got Bellew over the big time. Made him a star.

Haye is dilusional if he is thinks he can now continue to call the shots. He deserves 50/50 at best. The other stuff like ring walk, who's name goes first on the promotion etc etc should be in the favour of Bellew simply because he won the fight.

It's just a payday for Haye. You would think he would be in in rush to avenge the defeat v Bellew as it's Fight he should never of lost. He should be looking to prove Bellew got lucky and removing any doubt that his the better fighter but he won't do that as Haye just wants a payday. Problem is there is no AJ payday on the horizon as David Haye has done nothing to suggest he warrants that fight.

I think Bellew and Hearn are waiting for the outcome of Parker/Fury before deciding wether to rematch Haye or take the WBO shot
