Absolutely. Nothing but respect for Bellew tonight, guy gave his all when KNOWING (as he must surely have done at some point) that he was outclassed.

No shame in that against such a stellar talent. And hats off to Bellew again for his class and dignity shown post fight towards his victor.

I’d have to disregard out of hand anyone who would attempt to disparage Bellew tonight.

I don't get why anyone would find it funny or amusing to see a man knocked out.

Especially one that is brave enough to step In the ring with arguably the best p4p on the planet and give it his absolute all.
I used to dislike tony Bellew but he's actually a much better fighter than most give him credit for, I thought he was excellent early on and at times made usyk look as human as anyone he made him look. Some great boxing from Tony early on unfortunately he couldn't keep up the work rate and eventually the superior fighter took over and won.

But to not feel a little sad for someone who has put his heart and soul into a something to come up short is a bit disappointing.

You have to remember this is a man that's ended his career tonight, most of his life he's dedicated to becoming a world champion and this tonight was the pinnacle of his career.

Yes usyk knocked hhm out, yes he's a superior boxer. But respect to Tony he's a warrior and went out giving it all he had.

I'm not a fan of Bellew's but my respect for the man went up after tonight. He went in there, gave it his all, lost via brutal KO then held his hands up and admitted defeat in a way I didn't think he would. I find it hard to despise the man after that, he looked devastated but still gave all the respect in the world to his conqueror and I actually believed he was genuine. Froch could learn a few lessons.

at the end of the day Tony put it all on the line and he suffered a bad career end, but he showed the kind of balls he kept proclaiming he had, I thought a lot of it was flannel but he proved me wrong, there was more substance to the man than I thought. I guess you could say he was better off not taking the fight and retiring on the Haye high, but we wouldnt have known the full story, he did well against an elite fighter, better than most thought he would but came up short. But yeah, if he won he would have been insufferable :ciappa:

Bellew did pretty good early doors, but Usyk wasn't doing anything other than having a look and sussing Tony out, once he got to work, levels told.

Not a bad knockout for a guy that can't punch either.

Bellew is what I thought before the fight, nowhere near elite level and made a fortune out of his greatest asset - his tongue.

Anthony Bellew PPV has rogered the PPV Mugths big time and now sails back and forward on the Mersey Ferry with 4 huge bags of PPV loot.

A very limited fighter that exceeded his financial expectations in conjunction with Toe Productions.

Concussed to bits. Twice said he couldn't remember the round it was stopped. Said he couldn't remember half the fight. Said the exact same thing to Usyk several times. Fans were clearly booing Eddie Hearn who he was hugging and he tells them to stop booing Usyk ha ha. Madness. That was a heavy, heavy knockout. They really shouldn't interview guys like that in the ring. Could've got a quick word later in the dressing room even.

Never been a fan of Bellew but I take no pleasure in seeing him sparked against the very best, after clearly giving all he had and more. Good career. I don't think he'll fight again.

    No shame?

Didn’t Bellew say he was gonna “break his heart and take his soul."

I have to say im not a fan of interviews in the ring after similar incidents either. IMO fighters should be assessed straight away after fights.

Same with Sam Hyde, he was waiting in the ring a bit after the fight, should of been getting checked out straight away.

bit like Tyson after the Lewis fight but I think the genuine respect for the great fighter they just got beat by comes into in as well as their brains getting rattled.

Respect for Bellow, he went out giving great respect to Usyk

Bellow got the home time finale and payday that he deserved

The right man one tonight and in the right fashion. Usyk needed the impressive win moving forward

Bellow didn't need the win or ever a close decision loss

Everyone's a winner tonight and Bellow's missus finally gets to sleep at night

I thought Bellew would go to the ends of the earth in a fight? One tag and he was out for the count

Don't forget 'when he feels my power' and 'I will take him to places he hasn't been before' - the latter surely a table for 2 down Canal Street

The PPV Mugths are the only losers tonight - thank you Eh day for the £19.99 discount and hopefully you throw in a few foreign commentators next fight so i don't have to listen to the tripe from Wooly Vag and cronies
