Bellew is just being honest and is not the only boxer who lives by the warriors code.

I hope none of you ever called Ogogo a quitter? His face was 10x worse and he fought on for rounds with blurred vision!!!!

Bellew claimed Brook was beaten by a broken heart - I agree.

A warrior is someone like Denis Lebedev who kept going with an eye injury 30 times worse than Brook's.

Brook quite happy to dish out pain to no hopers such as Jo Jo Dan and Funky Gavin.

When the going gets tough, Brook quickly exits the ring.

However the most gutless World Title Defence is Ricky Burns in his last fight against Indongo.

'Waited all my life for these big unification fights' and 'cannot wait to get in there on Sat' then loses all 12 rounds by simply skipping away from his opponent the entire fight not engaging once.

We'll see how much of a warrior our tony is when they put him in with a proper fully fit heavyweight.

Brook looked gaunt to me, looked in good shape but gassed out I think he quit on 1 knee coz he New he was going to get Knocked out and probably couldn't take that in front of his home fans so went for the easy option, then blamed it on the same injury as the GGG fight , perfect excuse, just hope he doesn't use it again if he decides to carry on fighting

Bellew at least he is his own man, everyone oh ear bangs on about sky bias with commentary etc and hyping a fight, at least Bellew gave honest comments and I kind of agree with him.

You know he has a fractured eye socket in the other eye now. Hardly a sick note from his last fight

I thought bellew was spot on with what he said. He is there as a pundit to give his opinion I'm sick of all the biased stuff said on there especially nelson with his bias to Sheffield and anyone who isn't white. What he said was the truth fighters have won fights with one punch, they have fought fights with broken jaws. It's a world title fight for the elite and the bravest of the brave, if you can't handle it don't get involved it boxing

I couldn't have said it better myself.

TBH I might have given Brook a pass because he was getting a vicious beating but I am sick of the Brookbackmountaineers throwing stones when they live in glass houses!!!!

How do they have the cheek to disrespect Khan when they support Brook?

I m pretty shocked at the reaction tbh. Kell gave it his all last nite. Regardless of the eye he was flagging in their. Spence just wouldnt stop coming after the 8th or whatever. Kell stayed in as long as he could...but these guys arent supermen. Spence will end up beating them all down for me. Got to realise their struggling with weight etc...fighting on two fronts etc. Totally iresponsible from boxers/pundits for me. You,d have thought he done a bruce seldon in their the way they went on. Add to that the eye problem and your waisting your time. You cant fight someone like spence of golovkin with an eye problem like that.

Boxing fans are our own worst enemies at times. We demand safety for fighters after something goes badly wrong then encourage it to go wrong. At the end of the day its a sport. At the same time we demand the big fights against the top guys. Some give you them...refuse to avoid and then get criticised if it does go wrong. Kell took the big challenges and lost too a very very good fighter in spence. He was competetive in their for most of it. Gave it his all and fell short. No disgrace in that. No disgrace in calling time when the game was up.

Shocked that Bellew would say that publicly when he says he's Brook's mate. Haven't seen the Sky comments but I watched the ifl interview. It seems a bit harsh, he got told he could go blind off that injury it's going to be in the back of his mind and he was getting a beating. I still can't decide how I feel about him quitting myself but I wouldn't be happy if my mate was speaking publicly about me like that.

No mate would talk about their buddy like that on tv. Basically calling him a coward

Bellew is a funny one, he talks like he is the most honest guy in existence but he usually has an agenda. It's surprising he said that about brook though, but at the same time he is promoting himself with veiled compliments about how fighters have a code etc. He is a bit of a hypocrite, wasn't he going to retire to be with his family so as not to risk getting hurt even though he was clearly able to fight on? then why begrudge brook for bowing out with an injury that doubled his vision.

You also better be on his good side. However good a fighter is he will always find a way to bad mouth them if he don't like em. It took a lot for him to say groves did well but he put plenty of digs in there about him not being close to the best in the division.

I don't really dislike Bellew but he talks rubbish, I can't take his opinions serious. He either bad mouths to promote himself or damages the reputations of people he doesn't like. His Haye antics have been ridiculous, going on about how he carried Haye to his corner after where as Haye would have laughed in his face if the situation was reversed. Any ways that's another rant...

The "Haye would have laughed" remark has no substance. When Haye destroyed Chisora he could have gloated so much but instead he embraced Chisora and gave him props.

he is just one of those people that convinces himself he is telling the truth even when it is a ridiculous load of rubbish. he will stand there and bang on like he believes Haye wasn't even injured in the fight, and he continues attacking his character like is Charles Manson. maybe its keeping the beef going for the rematch, in which case he is not being real is he....
