i can't wait for the fight but the built up to it is going to be embarrassing, bellew and haye are two of the most cringing fighters in boxing
He's confident he's getting a big pay check and a good night's sleep Even if he has a genuine confidence - which I don't believe, I think he's just looking for the payday - then that'll evaporate the second he feels a heavyweight jab.
Why should I its not my job to educate casuals like you the consensus on esb is that gaye is not a top ten heavyweight right now
How long is it going to take you to get banned from this new account of your since you have been banned on your others?
How the hell can wins over M. DeMori and A. Garbage qualify a fighter for the top 10 ? There's loads of heavyweights out there who have similar wins, most of whom we've never heard of.
I think he's challenging someone to name 10 heavyweights they'd pick to beat this version of Haye which is a fair question.
That's all hypothetical. If someone has it in there head that Haye can beat everyone out there, there's really nothing anyway can say to change that. The onus should be on Haye to prove he can beat genuine ranked heavyweights, rather than the onus being on the rest of the heavyweight division to beat Haye in a "hypothetical match".
We have been through this though mate. He gets a shot at someone legit and everyone claims he's jumped the queue and doesn't deserve that fight, he fights lowly guys to get a ranking and then he gets crucified anyway. Because people don't like him he's going to get loads of **** no matter what he does. There's also the financial aspect of these things. He needs to be the B-side really as he doesn't have the backing to secure a big fight on Dave. The question was would you pick 10 guys to beat him currently? You might well.
Valid points, mate. I base my judgment of Haye 2.0 on the small clips we've seen of him since he came back. His previous heavyweight credentials were built on speed, explosiveness, and power, all of which made up for his size disadvantage in this era of super heavyweights, and his lack of stamina - he often finished off opponents before his tank was emptied. The extra weight of his reincarnation may well stop him being bullied and help prevent injury but this - and his long term inactivity - has slowed him, and all this is likely to have further diminished his stamina too. He likes to evade rather than block incoming punches, so even a small drop in speed may be the difference between avoiding big punches and taking them. I thought he looked slower and more cumbersome in his two comeback fights, but the for the second one especially, he'd clearly not trained properly and was - for him - a little 'fleshy'. Against Bellew he'll be in shape. But if his speed has diminished as much as I suspect, he'll be easier to catch. And does he have the heart for the battle anymore? I hope so. I couldn't bare listening the Mr Powaaahhhh dining out for the rest of time on how he beat The Haymaker. God forbid, that...
Yes, we've been through it, and I've stated many times that I don't have a problem with David Haye fighting whoever he wants. Good luck to him. I only have a problem with those fans and pundits who elevate him to a unearned position. No one would complain about that if he fought a genuine contender to earn a ranking and a shot. Even beating a Dillian Whyte/Dereck Chisora-level opponent would be enough to qualify him. It's not much to ask. We can't be expected to fix his financial/promotional situation for him, nor give him a pass because of it.
