bellew title shot. a perfect example of whats wrong in boxing

    some interested views on my thread and some dame right stupid ones as well , it appears some of you are justifying this crap by stating that the wbo belt aint worth **** and that cleverly didnt win it , two points i dont disagree with however they are not relivant to the original point as whatever belt/title it is above the british title bellew has earnt a shot at it

    bellew was awful in his last 2 fights gettin floored sveral times in one and doing a woeful impression of a boxer in the other(cant belive some of you think he showed skills and abilty last time out he couldnt even control the ring cut down the angles or doin many of the basics) on the back of these performances bellew should not warrant being in the same building as cleverly let alone the same ring he had done fuk all to warrant a shot at a fighter like cleverly and has just gobbed off constantly to get a fight he does not deserve.

    A lot of what you say may well be true gench, but at the same time aren't you at all interested in this fight if you put that aside?

    The point you have to do is ignore the belts completely. The belt is a television and promotional tool. It very often has little to no bearing as to who the real champion is at the weight.

    The point is that this fight is an interesting matchup it is what boxing is about. It has intrigue it has characters it has questions that need to be answered. People want to see two guys square up against each and find out what happens. Hopefully the resulting fight will be entertaining.

    Forgetting the title on the line its one of the great British domestic dust up that can happen and will continue from Groves Degale Sykes Buckland Groves Degale Fury Chisora

    i dont know if its been said i cant be assed reading through all 6 pages

    but the world title means **** all to bellew he just wants cleverley for the people on here with short memorys bellews been calling for a shot at clev ever since he was british champion

    You could create a whole new debate on whether TV actually was the main reason for all these belts being created....
