Hearn gets on well with golden boy and I'm sure tony wouldn't mind going over to America to fight bernard for the IBF strap and hearn also gets on well with the IBF I reckon this fight could be made easily. Could tony beat the old man?

Nope.... I think Hopkins would find Bellew's jab and footwork slightly different to what he's seen in more recent fights, but you'd soon see Bomber taken out of his game, taken apart on the inside and stopped in the late rounds.

I rate Bellew really highly, but he's not on this level, he'd more than likely admit that himself.

  4. bellew is easy to fustrate - hopkins will have a field day

I reckon bellew would jump at the chance if he was offered it.

Bellew wouldn't even beat Cloud IMO.

i know it probably doesn't mean much... but didn't bellew say on one of his interviews going around the areas he grew up in Liverpool, ...that it was nothing compared to what some of this guys have in philly for example and picked out BHop and said those guys are real tough and he would NOT want to fight them or something along those lines

No he couldn't, he'd likely get schooled like almost everyone else who's fought Bernard has. Hopkins is the master of making aggressive fighters look shite and one dimensional, he'd play with Tony. And I'm a massive Bellew fan as well, just being what I think is realistic.

At least Tony admits he wouldn't beat Hopkins (or at least he did when I heard him talk about a while back). He said B-Hop is one of his all-time idols and he wouldn't dare ever call him out. Smart move to be honest.

If they ever did fight then Hopkins wins a wide UD by doing his usual thing. Spoiling, tying up, landing sneaky/dirty punches on the break and dictating the pace with Tony not managing to land anything clean. Only LH who can beat Bernard IMO is Dawson as we've seen.

No chance would Tony be stopped, it would be a points job. Hopkins doesn't stop anyone these days!

The little I've seen of Kovalev I'd give him a good chance against Hopkins

I really like Tony but no, he wouldn't beat Hopkins. Dawson is the only one at 175 who can beat him IMO

I think you need speed and work rate to beat Hopkins. Bellew doesn't have enough. Hopkins can manage power.
