Kind of agree, don't know what he walks about at but I suspect cw would be easier.

I made this thread before the mccintosh fight, all the people saying huck would smash bellew are the one's who where on his nuts after the cleverly fight. Back then you all thought he was some world class punching machine, :-( seems people like to jump on the bandwagon to quickly. That said I still thing bellew is a fringe-world class fighter. He would beat shumenov imo

I never saw Bellew before... just the Chilemba fight. i really thought Bellew would be something special After seeing him against Chilemba I have to say that there is just nothing outstanding about him.

First of all Bellews performance against Cleverly was nothing special,in fact he was beaten comprehensively imo.He couldn't knock Nathan down,he couldn't hurt him,he couldn't do **** really his combinations and jab were landing on occasion but that's only because Nathan Cleverly stands square on and isn't elusive.Huck would still smash him on the basis of that performance and Cleverly too for that matter.Anyone that thought otherwise maybe in serious need of a new pair of specs.

Bellew's power at 175 is overrated, where is the evidence that he is a big puncher..? since he has stepped up in class, he has hurt nobody really.

He looks like he punches under water, because he is a dead at the weight.

Ether he stays and 175 and gets beat down badly or sparked out, because he is dead at the weight or..? He goes to CW, maybe wins, maybe gets beat down and sparked out..? for not being good enough.

    Not dead at the weight!

i just think he is not good enough he does not hit hard enough, have a big output in punches or is even quick and his chin is questionable with those attributes he going no where fast

What would you say Bellew main attribute is ?
I really dont think he has any world class attributes

I would say Cleverly throws as much punches as anyone out there is quick and seems to have a sturdy chin

That's why I said "relative power", he can be a hurtful puncher and he did land some telling shots against cleverly. I remember he caught Cleverly against the ropes with a big right which hurt him but Bellew couldn't follow it up. I don't think he is a big puncher on the world scene and don't think he will be able to keep more hardened, durable guys off him but at British/Euro level he has decent power.

I think he has to improve his skillset whatever weight he fights at, he can do well against Euros sticking behind the jab but if he wants to go further then something needs to change.

people make a mistake if they think bellew could have the power to keep the big guys at CW of him.
I mean for example Huck... he is a heavyweight fighting at cruiserweight! Huck dont needs much more weight for fighting at heavyweight as he showed against povetkin! Huck was barley over the CW limit! Huck would murder bellew no question.

  10. Being realistic here though I think Bellew being as decent as say, Enzo Mac (before he went on the slide) is not totally out of the realms of possibility.

Enzo was a fringe World-level Cruiser, decent titleist for a while & had wins over some respectable names. I agree with the poster who said they would still fancy Bellew against Shumenov (what do I know though, I had Paul Smith to beat Stieglitz last year ).

Say what you want about Bellew's power, but for a lad with the body of a 12 year old boy he punches ****ing hard, add 15-20lbs of muscle onto that & who knows what would happen.

He wont be a CW power puncher thats sure

  12. You can't predict these things mate, I've never seen a lad look so skinny at the weight. Even Hopkins looks thicker than Tony.

I have problems to say that Bellew is dead at the weight! If he is really dead how did he come that far? Having a close title fight and being almost mandarory for Dawson.
I saw boxers who are completly drained! These boxers cant go 12 Rounds without getting theire ass knocked out! Or being in serious big time troubles. I mean so far Bellew did pretty good at LHW.
Also his team knows much more than we! they know if he can fight at LHW or not! Man even before the Chilemba fight most guys here said he would knock Chilemba out! The LHW is weak right now! The Cruiserweight division has much more potential and better fighters in it. In my opinion Bellew should stay at LHW because there he has a chance in gettting big fights. I dont see that chance at Cruiserweight... WHo should he fight there?

Enzo Mac had more speed and genuine immense power. Enzo Mac had power on the level of the Hayemaker.....

I am not suggesting Bellew will walk through the CW division, i am just stating that he won't be dead at the weight. If you are a fighter, you won't to lose at your best! Not because you are dead at the weight, and living a ******ed lifestyle.

At 175 i think he is dead at the weight, and from a conditioning and nutritional point of view..? He lives a ******ed lifestyle. Its good to be brave, but sometimes its better to be wise!
