I always remember Mirinda vs Pavlik immense fight!!!!!! "For a brief moment in time the 168 division was very exciting"....... Bellew looks drained... Listen it's a risky business, coming into fights against bangers when you have to cut large amounts of weight. Whenever Tony Bellew has faced a banger, what happens..? He gets stunned at times, and hits the deck! Why..? Because it is a battle for him to make 175, and cutting large amount of weight and depleting you're body of nutrients and raw fuel that it needs on a day to day basis has a weakening affect on the body. I feel that these are dangerous times for Tony Bellew! I would prefer him to move up in weight, and go on rampage at CW. I feel he will be fitter, stronger and in general happier from day to day eating good healthy meals. There's actually bigger fights at CW, the CW division right now is better than the LW. Bellew vs Huck..? Would be massive.
This is really Bellews fight to lose. If goes out and boxes Miranda he can certainly cruise to an easy points win or maybe even a late stoppage (allthough i think Miranda's punch resistance and gas tank at 175 are better than at lower weights) but if he goes out and bangs with him he makes it a 50/50 fight I think tony's a smart lad and will keep his cool to win a comfortable decision
Said it before, Miranda comes in straight lines, is easy to hit and past his best. Bellew has range on him a much better jab and is the bigger man. It should be over inside 4 rounds. I expect Bellew to box but be aggressive with any openings and go for the right hand whenever a chance presents itself. These chances will come a lot as Miranda will march forward and throw fairly telegraphed bombs that leave him open for the right. I wouldn't be shocked if it ended in the 2nd round. If Bellew doesn't take him out and just boxes cautiously to a UD I wont be impressed at all, especially given where he wants to end up in terms of his career and the level of fights he wants to compete in.
Two points in response: Bellew doesn't want to fight at Cruiser (yet), he's stated this many times, he has been around 175 all week. He's fine at LHW. 'fitter, stronger and generally happier' - Bellew would be half the fighter he is, should he be happy. He needs to come in pissed off, narky, ****ing raging in order to perform. Look at his demeanour in the Clev/McIntosh fights - he looked livid! It works for him. Cleverly and McIntosh are the two best fighters he has faced and neither put him down. Its a long time since Ovill/Ajisafe. He has full on, proper training camps for big fights; there can be no motivation issues and he is with a trainer that he seemingly prefers. I agree with Strike though, he needs to KO this past-his-prime, past-his-weight, one dimensional fighter. An Ovill II performance might be sensible but would lose any momentum. His style and demeanour suggest he is a badass in the ring - he needs the KOs to back this up.

Bellew is a superior boxer to Miranda, but i would say he isn't the heavier puncher, but he certainly has enough power to put miranda off. I expect ref stopping in around 5-6th round, similar to how he stopped mcintosh
My thoughts are that Tony may struggle to keep Miranda on the end of a 1-2 all night the way he did with Ovil, if he attempts that he'll need to be more active and cute, my feeling is that Bellew should look to do what he does best , Punch/Box, or Box/Punch which ever way you prefer to see it Miranda wont like Tony's power Bellew TKO 9 :good
